  1. If I could play this I'd never leave my house again, I'd just play it constantly until I starved to death. My dad listened to a lot of then modern jazz when I was a kid and I remember hearing this band frequently. Then he wonders why I like the music I do now.
  2. Thanks, I'm pretty excited about it.
  3. Maybe a "Bring out Your Dead" of previous Cannonball builds? Anything goes as long as it was entered in a previous Cannonball, if you don't have an unfinished entry it has to be a partially started build that hasn't been worked on for a while.
  4. I got the 30 up on its wheels, a set left over from an old Orange Crate kit. The front is heavily dumped, I've to raise the engine up a bit to get the oil pan off the ground.
  5. I'm glad you were able to save this build.
  6. I say younger but I'm 41, I like some newer cars too but there's decent kits of most if those.
  7. I really should put my kit money in the bank for a printer, that would be a better purchase in the long run.
  8. Oh boy, off the top of my head 68 LTD 68/69 AMX 71 Javelin Early 60s Cadillacs 69-71 Lincoln MkIII 50s-70s station wagons Early 80s Ford Ranger pickup 73 Chevelle
  9. Personally, as a younger builder with no nostalgia for older kits I wish tooling dollars would be spent on new kits of those subjects instead of recreating old kits.
  10. Ok, I just wanted to be sure you were going to be able to get a set.
  11. You can buy the 454 from the Baldwin Motion kit on ebay.
  12. Did you ever hear back from Casey if he's going to do more of the Ford wheels? If you want them with the center cap I have a set from the Revell 37/38 truck.
  13. The Musketball, like a Cannonball but smaller and a lot less powerful. The real Musketball race was limited to 100 hp and intended to be cheap fun instead of a big budget race. I'm sure we can tweak the specific rules and still keep the low budget feel.
  14. Texas 3d Customs does a Rockwell T138 transfer case that's very nice and might be doing a front axle as well. https://tx3dcustoms.com/products/rockwell-t138-transfer-case
  15. Honestly that's pretty bad, I would try to find someone parting out the kit and buy another body.
  16. I've been using decanted brake cleaner spray since they stopped making Tenax years ago.
  17. I buy primer by the case from Amazon. I try to find colors at parts stores but no one around here carries more than a small shelf so it can be hit or miss, especially for less common colors.
  18. The song "Somebody" off an early Blue October album is a near direct copy of "Whatever" by Godsmack. Blue October Godsmack
  19. I have to agree with Craig, I got my v12 yesterday and it's incredible.
  20. I always under coat Tamiya or Duplicolor paints with Duplicolor white primer because it strips easily in super clean. I've saved many bodies this way.
  21. I've decided to build two cars, the 30 is the west coast asphalt car and I'm going to do a 29 roadster in east coast style. The 29 will be on 32 rails with a warmed up flat head. I borrowed the center frame member from a Revell 32 to bring the frame closer to stock. I also cut the pleated areas from the interior so it looks like bare metal.
  22. As a child of the 80s he was everywhere when I was a kid.
  23. They're gone, going from my purchase history shows the old listing but if I open ebay in a new tab they're not listed in his store anymore. I bought these when I was still planning a sand build so I might not be using them anymore. Let me look once they get here, if I'm not going to use them I'll let you know.
  24. There's two sets of the wheels left. I just bought one set a few days ago.
  25. Those are likely leftovers from the custom version on the 72 convertible, though that doesn't rule out a future custom release.
