  1. Almost every day but I'm a home body and don't have kids so I have control of my free time.
  2. I've been gathering some of these kits from ebay recently. I would love to see these brought back in the current Round2 style with good decals and printed tires. I'm on the lookout for an MPC War Eagle Firebird now.
  3. Try using Duplicolor white primer. It builds up in very thin layers so it doesn't hide the detail as much as thicker primers. It also strips easily if you need to start over.
  4. The separate chrome trim looks great but I worry that the slightest amount of flash will wreck those parts.
  5. Yes, and every build he does starts out looking the same, like he has a technique to destroying the thing.
  6. This is a great idea.
  7. Our Drivers Ed car was an early 90s Dodge Shadow, a hot steaming pile of k car garbage. Once I got my permit I drove my grandmother's 85 Delta 88.
  8. Yes, it will be coming out again sometime this year (or maybe next year, things are still a bit of a mess) but it's a reissue of a kit that's been around for a while. Revell has 4 or 5 kits that share all the major parts with this kit, a Willys pickup, a Thames panel truck, an Anglia, and an Austin at least.
  9. Here is a link with pictures of the parts trees. The front and rear spoilers are optional. Personally I love the 1/24 Monogram kits. They aren't the most detailed but they fit well and most look just look "right". https://www.cybermodeler.com/hobby/kits/rm/kit_rm_2168.shtml
  10. Just a note about this kit, it's pretty old and some of the parts are not the best. You can build something cool with it but if accuracy is important to you some parts, mostly the engine, will need to be replaced. It's also not designed to adhere to actual gasser class rules and is more in the style of a "street freak" custom build.
  11. The service truck does not have a stock bed.
  12. Wound guitar strings can also be a source for throttle return springs. Cut the winding from the core with wire stripping pliers.
  13. 68-70 B body, every car on this platform was a winner.
  14. This kit is more detailed with more parts than the snap kits.
  15. The most egregious problem to me is the way the holes for the headlights aren't the same shape as the actual headlight pieces or real headlights. I'm going to strip the plated parts and glue them in and fill the voids with putty to fix it. Then either foil or Molotow for the bezels.
  16. I've gotten some aftermarket tires that absolutely stink to high heaven and cheap Chineseum "rubber" that smells vaguely of gasoline forever so I do understand the comnent.
  17. You wouldn't necessarily have to gut the supercharger, there are dual charge setups where a turbo or turbos feed into a supercharger.
  18. There's also a Potvin setup in the Orange Crate kit.
  19. You might could save yourself some work by tracking down some of the tires from the Revell/Monogram sprint car kits.
  20. A lot of guys will paint the chassis primer gray then mist the body color on to the edges if the chassis.
  21. I'm glad to this, I didn't get one last time it was out and have been waiting to see it again.
  22. This looks great. I've got the Fujimi kit but stalled on it after I added an engine but couldn't replicate the headers.
  23. Did you find anything out about the availability of this part? I've found myself in need of one as well.
  24. Very nice, I love these cars.
  25. It does have the CB radio from the kit in it, I just need to dig out a guitar string for the antenna.
