  1. I have been able to keep myself from buying the 1:12 rally cars, because I already have good 1:24 models of those kits. But a Fulvia? That could get me interested...
  2. I would love to see both kits reissued by Tamiya. The last Rally version I owned had twisted windshield pillars, and was unable to fix it.
  3. I'm hoping for the '73, but the body style I really want to see is the notchback coupe.
  4. I remember getting the Big Bad Van as a birthday present, must have been somewhere in the 8-10 year old range at the time. I can't remember what happened to it (probably glue-bombed to death), but it would be nice to have a reasonably priced one to build.
  5. Missing Link used to have a '69 Cutlass convertible available, but I don't know if it is still in the catalogue.
  6. Glad I can finally stop looking around for a '60 Nomad; nearly impossible to find at shows. Hopefully an ElCamino is in the works, as the majority of them that have survived have every included part glued to the poor kit! I see that the Barracuda is being described as a '64 1/2 and a '65. As I already have a '65 kit in the stash, I hope we get the '64 with the Valiant script.
  7. Last month, I was fortunate to find the 1:24 Lanz Bulldog kit when I was on vacation. Really nice kit, planned to build it to go in with the rest of my tractors (also still mostly unbuilt!). However I now need to find a closed-cab body for this kit. Would also like if someone would print the figures from the photo as well...? Any help appreciated!
  8. I'll probably get one, because I remember the real cars on the road. I think the Tercel was more popular here becase: a) it was larger inside, and b) it had Front-Wheel Drive.
  9. Has anyone seen confirmation of this, or is this a prank? And if real, when are the race versions appearing? I want one in the Pfaff Motorsports 'lumberjack' scheme! ? https://www.scalemates.com/kits/tamiya-24370-porsche-911-gt3-rs--1573765
  10. Great video; I wish Atlantis or Revell would reissue this series of kits. I've had the T-Bone Stake for years, but rarely see the other kits on sale. The missing vehicle in the range was Der Guber Wagen.

  12. I wonder if Revell could include the bench seat interior with the Superbird, just for something different?
  13. You should have been over at AMRO, Edgar. Bill had both versions on the table (definitely was a surprise to see them there!)
  14. The basic engine can be found in the Revell 1989-90 Ford Thunderbird/Mercury Cougar kits. You would need to scratchbuild or design an intake manifold, but there may be one available through one of the 3D print people. Good luck!
  15. It does, but there are builders who are switching to the Big Six (available in the Model King issues) because it was a more common powerplant in the 1:1 Mercury trucks.
  16. If you don't turn the model over, no one will notice the C4 transmission. If you really need a correct C6, you can find one in the AMT '66 Fairlane or Monogram '69 Talledega kits.
  17. It will be nice to have the '57 Chev back in the line, lots of good chassis and running gear parts in that kit. Other than that, nothing for me.
  18. You could order all the same engines in the Mercury as in the Ford. There were probably more sixes and smaller V8's sold in the Mercury line, due to economic factors in Canada, but ordering a M-100 with a 360 or 390 was definitely possible.
  19. I like Steve's tip for the BMF, but one other recommendation is to use a smaller blade for cutting. I had used #11 blades for years, but when I switched to bifocals my depth perception went out the window! I found a shorter blade, like the one on Tamiya's Craft Knife (made by OLFA), helped to cut down on my errors. Hoping the tips encourage you to try some BMF work, Bill!

  21. Agree whole-heartedly with you, Chuck. All these little Japanese cars that never made it to North America in large numbers, and then they drop in a kit like the first-gen Honda Civic or Mazda RX-7! I never thought I could want an Isuzu Bellet until Hasegawa made a kit... The Entex kits are fun blasts from the past. I never had the RX-3, but I had the Cosmo and RX-2.
  22. The convertibles were discontinued, because it was felt the Chevelle line would be more popular. IIRC, the Nova SS was initially discontinued at the start of the '64 model year, and then brought back partway through the year.
  23. But it's so roomy in here, Chris! ?
  24. I would love to see Moebius give the parts to convert the Nova into an Acadian. Anyone else?
  25. Ontario had a free exchange program for plates that were 5 years old or newer. I think it's a minimal charge to get new ones. I changed my last set of plates for my current ones at 4.5 years, and the replacements still look great after 6 years on the car. Illegal, but many people keep riding on them. Then one day, that person will come across a constable with a ticket quota, and then...
