  1. Did a trade with our esteemed number one old annuals guru. aka StevenGuthmiller And got a body to fix my builtup 1958 Ford Sunliner annual kit which had been pretty heavily modified .
  2. 8 out of 11. not bad considering I am not a FED guy
  3. Well done.
  4. A builtup 1959 Mercury convertible . with its original box For some reason I cant upload pictures of any kind or size ?????????????
  5. I'm not a wagon fan as a rule But,,,,,,,, if they did an early 60s or late 50s Chrysler product I'd buy one of two
  6. What about something out of a 2014 Mustang GT as an example. ? it looks pretty cool
  7. Very nice,,,,,, I sure have a soft spot for the 63 Dodges. I assume the body is just a repop of the Johan annual kit ? How is the engraving and detail on the body ?
  8. I've got this one. I know it has It has opening doors and I think the trunk opens as well
  9. Ps. I would prefer to not use a standard pushrod engine I want something exotic and I think a modern ohc engine would be ideal (Ps it's going In a hotrod version of the 1957 Ford Del Rio)
  10. Ok. I have a project idea. And I am thinking small block Ford power plant. Something late model EFI preferred. Seeing as most of my stash is older annuals and drag cars I don't have much to choose from. So what's avail in 1.25th scale
  11. Not sure I even want to know the answer. But no doubt probably into 5 figures. I've spent nearly 2k just since Jan 1st
  12. Paint over it ?,,,,,the chrome bumper or the grille insert. On mine I dont know its a dealer promo and they were not detail painted . So they stayed as is for my application. But I would say no harder than painting any other model part
  13. I think in the 350 to 400 range in unbuilts . If I add in the built / finsihed kits add in maybe anout 150 .. Then I think I have maybe another 40-50 old builtups . I've bought maybe 20-25 kits since the 1st of the year and not one of them has been a modern kit. Its been all old annuals and/or drag car kits. The last new / readily avail kit I bought was the 1970 Hemi Cuda and thats been over a year. I do plan to pick up at least one of the 57 Ford wagons here soon and will probably get one each of the F100 pickups just for good measure .
  14. Need to see anything else ? The grille and insert both from Modelhaus
  15. Yep. Finding one without the custom skirts on it was tough to come up with. Also have a 59 Mercury on the way.
  16. The source can depend A LOT on the era your after / trying to replicate
  17. Great thread...I'm afraid the only 59 chrysler kit I have is the Imperial. ..and it's still in the box. But I do have a bunch of 1959 Kits. (its the year I was born and I am on a mission to obtain most of the kits produced for the 1959 Model year ) I do have one on each side thats done though. A 1958 and a 1960 Imperial convertibles
  18. Really Clean builtup 1959 Galaxie convertible
  19. I think it looks pretty darn good as is
