  1. The 58 Impala kit I just picked up has a chrome crankshaft in it.
  2. I've got about every Lindberg 64 dodge made. So I'll ck tonight and see which ones have which grills. I know some of them have both
  3. Agreed. But the amt/mpc Daytona kit can be built into a decent looking car with some work. Just cut the bottom of the fender off and mold the valance in,,,just like they did on the real car. Although I haven't built one of them. To me the Revell Daytona the door scallops are far to pronounced for my liking when compared to the real car
  4. A simply stunning build. and I really like it, ,,,,,,,,,can I have it ? There was a builder hardtop and a vert on the 'bay this week, My toy fund is way down so I had to pass them up. The hardtop got crazy money,,,but the vert sold for much less than I would have gone,, But I just couldn't do it this time.
  5. Agreed,,I've not seen any little girls in his ads so thats a new one to me , , Just girls I assumed were in there 20's maybe ? And thought it was a touch odd ,,grand daughter or not
  6. Even at that,,its probably more edible than what you'll reveive when you order lunch.
  7. If your after something close to OE. TA hoods were painted in Organsol. Which is a very low gloss black ( not a true flat black but very close ) And it has a texture to it. . IMO to acheive this on your last spray past hold the can way back and just mist it on
  8. Creepy might be a tad harsh.,,,But I dont see the point of the women in the ad. He's selling models cars ,,not Tee shirts
  9. I rarely buy new releases anymore . But when I do, I try to buy at my local hobby shop as much as possbile. When talking to the shop owner,,,he told me If there was something I wanted and could give him a few days notice and he could get me most anything I wanted and similar to online prices. But for the better part of the past 6 months I have been buying old annuals, and thay have all been off ebay We do havea show / swap coming up next month and I'll try to get a few there if something catches my eye in regards to high postage costs outside the country. I just sent a padded mail with nothing but parts in in the Denmark. It weighed less than 3 oz's. and it was almost $7 I had a complete / unbuilt kit boxed up and took it to the post office for a real time estimate to ship it to Canada,,right at $14
  10. Not so sure about the red wheels,,but otherwise I think this option would look pretty good. I just picked up a 59 Bonneville ( mine is a convertible though ) so I am gonng keep any on any color options that may come this way That tri tone interior would be tough I also just picked up a builtup 1960 Bonnie vert thats all silver with red interior that I may just leave as is
  11. Posting pics of a real car..isn't fair. But wow. That's nice
  12. Thats way to organized,,I'de never be able to find a thing. Looks killer though
  13. Was over at a friends yesterday and picked up an original issue AMT 1958 Impala hardtop. Best of all It was only $10 ,,,score !!!!!!!!
  14. Thanks all for the kind words. I did get the final details finished up on it friday night ( windshield wipers and such ) But , Its gone. I gave it to the 1/1 cars owner yesterday afternoon. And even though he knew I was building it,,he was absolutley floored when I told him it was his to keep .
  15. My first completed model in over 18 months,,maybe even closer to 2 years. This is a replica of a 1/1 car I am restoring for a customer.. Real RT Charger 440 spd Dana. EEL Dark Blue metallic with white interior. Model is painted in nason single stage enamel using my airbrush ,, with a Upol urethane clear topcoat right out of the rattle can. Rubbed out by hand. I tried to do the model to replicate the vision of how I think the car is going to be. BUT, Things like tires and wheels are still undecided,,,, and we might go with headers on the real car. But I like the redlines look on stock chrome magnum rims,so thats the way I finished it . Its pretty much box stock with exception to a MAD prewired dist. and I ran battery cables and fuel lines .The redline tires are from the parts box,,no idea what they're out of . Interior is sprayed in a duplicolor white that dried to a nice vinyl like sheen to it . Embossing powder for carpeting( even thoough you cant see it once all asembled. ) For whats essemtially an afterthought quickie type build. I like it . I'll call it done till I find my decal sheet to get the sidemarker decals for it and a rearview mirror from the parts box. And, yes. I know its missing the windshield wipers.. I broke one when removing it from the chrome tree , so I gotta dig in the parts box and hope I find a set that match . I am meeting the cars owner next weekend and will present it to him then . So all this is just to give it away,,,thats gonna be tough. Comments of all kinds wlecome.

    70 Cuda

I assume this is going to be all black,,,,,that will look so sinister its sickening. I like it so far
  17. Here is what I have so far. My interests lean torwards the big open cars from the era,,,,,,. But I am not against the oddball stuff not avail anywhere else either. And heller seams to cover that quite well. My main concern is are they buildable with moderate talent. I am not a big fan of having to re-engineer the entire kit to build it,,I'll loose interest if I have to do that .
  18. Never even heard of this thing before today . Just different enough I like it
  19. I have a couple Heller kits on hand. and have been thinking of picking up a few more. Primarily the cars of the 20's or 30's . Not neccesarly any particular brand or model in particular. But I like the big open cars from the period Is there any particular kit to look out for and/or to avoid
  20. WOW.........
  21. I cant ofer any insights on which airbrush,,But WOW . this image is killer
  22. Doubtfull any single one person is gonna be abla to answer this one . Far to many manufactures covering a wide array of subjects to pin this one down. For me I think it has to be Mobieus ,,although the current revell stuff is right behind them in quality,,,just not accuracy. But then again, I dont build anything subject wise that either Tamiya , Aoshima or any of the other pacific rim companies produce. And I only build cars,,so my opinion is limited as such .
  23. Lets be honest, this is one massive automobile
  24. If the hood is indeed stryene. And you want to get rid of it,,I would be interested . It looks like the right hood to do the Bill Bagshaw 1971 Pro Stock ,,or at least pretty close to it. EDIT, I just measured originals I have. measuring along the side from rear corner to ft corner MPC pro stock challenger / Dick Landy hood = 2-9/16" MPC pro stock cuda / Don Carlton hood = 2-5/16"
  25. Casey, I think the hood is challenger,,,,just cant remember or find out which issue it came from. Time Machine resin lists a copy of it. at http://www.timemachineresin.bravehost.com/draghoods.html The only plastic Cuda pro stock cuda hood I know of is the Don Carlton car ( and its subsequent issues )
