  1. I assume this car was never kit in stryene, and is only avail in resin ? If so who and where can I get one. I think Modelhaus used to make one but I don't think it's on there current product list. I want to do a couple different drag cars and they only thing I've been able to find out is resin only
  2. The few pictures I have of this car show missing ft inner fenders and tube bars in there place. with a pretty radically cut up radiator support and aluminum radiator . Thats not accurate for how this was was built originally was it ? ps, I assume this is the revell kit correct ?
  3. Here is what it looks like. I plan to replicate an actual car I got to work on a few years back.
  4. I know it depicts it on the box art but don't know if accurate ft end parts are included to do it. I know for a fact the trunklid is stock in the kit with no parts to accurately depict the 1/1 car. IMO the paint schemes would be the hardest part to duplicate on all of them
  5. I just make my own when needed
  6. Looks killer so far. ps, mental note remove door handles and rocker mldgs when I do mine . Glad you mentioned that. Same here, I have had similar issues with several Slixx sheets lately. But all were either older sheets or sheets bought thru secondary outlets. So the last few sets I have bought directly from Slixx in hopes to avoid issues
  7. To the best of my knowledge he does NOT own the RTS Cuda I've thought about attempting all of the cars in 1/25th scale but the 71 Roadrunner and 70 Duster might be a tad bit beyond my skills and/or concentration level I don't think the 70 Roadrunner would be all that hard to do , the grille is avail in the original Johan release ( i have a couple of the grilles but only the one builtup of the car and I already have plans for it )
  8. Same here. I have been on a pre-war cars kick lately. and I just might have to add this one to the stack. I just picked up an Heller kit of an early 30's Alfa Romeo Zagato and it is extremly close to the ft of the line. I plan to start it late this summer or early fall at the latest ( maybe sooner if I can clear the bench ) ps, does this kit have whitewall tires or all black ?
  9. Just curious,is it going to have decals to do both the red and the white versions on Grumpy's car ?
  10. I haven't bought much lately that is a current kit. So most of my purchases in the past 12-18 months is online ( 90% of which has been Ebay ) I do have a Micheals and a Hobby Lobby close by but neither carry much modeling wise., kits or supplies Otherwise I only have one actual hobby shop , but he is more into RC stuff . We've talked and he is willing to listen and add in model kits , he just doesn't want to have thousands of dollars invested in slow moving store stock
  11. One of my favorites thats been posted here . Actually , This build is the one that inspired me to build my Beswick car. And my interior didn't come nearly as nice as this.
  12. Just a nasty cold wet dreary weekend . It was decent saturday, but yesterday and today highs in the low 60's , a breezey and rainy past couple of days ==== just plain blah
  13. I did manage to tinker with it a bit last week . I finally added , and long overdue crank dampner, fuel pump and lines and a tank. I am almost positive the tank is 100% wrong but it was all I had in the parts box. It's done and back in the case till I decide to finally take it apart to make it a bit more correct. ( someday)
  14. Back when I bought it ( over 10 , probably closer to 15 years ago ) all I got was the loosely assembled chassis , what was left of the int tins, body and rear bumper. I used the glass and ft grille/bumper from the old mpc 67 charger kit ( the one molded in black ) I didn't get any paint, box or instructions You would probably hate me if I said how much I paid for it back then ( it was WAAAAAAAY less then $150 )
  15. I want to say it was late teens or very early 20's all tires were black
  16. All this work an no actual aluminum tin work,,,,,,,, I am so dis-appointed I am kidding btw
  17. Oh yes, I am definitly going to be following this one
  18. Sweet, nice looking build. I love seeing vintage kits done up nice
  19. My comment had nothing to do with what or how much either drove. Both acheived a level that very few ever attain in there careers. Dale Earnhardt was not 'the person' Aarton Senna was prior to his death and never will be.
  20. Great looking build. I did one of these a few months back. and it instantly became one of my favorite kits / cars . Isn't painting the 3 tone interior fun ? You did well grasshopper, take a bow.
  21. http://www.ebay.com/itm/MPC-resin-Vega-funny-car-with-Flash-Gordon-Mineo-decals-and-extras-/181134657231?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item2a2c7786cf
  22. Comparing Senna to Earnhardt is apples to oranges just my 2cents
  23. Sleep is over rated ,,,finish that puppy
  24. I agree,,,, The MPC body is by far the most accurate, I have several old builtups for future projects. It's a shame most of the aftermkt decal suppliers scale there sheets to the revell body. I already have a couple of Chucks sheets for future projects.
  25. A picture of the interior tin itself work ?,,,, I don't have a engine cover at all. Only thing I have are the later versions and such as the 1968 Color Me Gone tin shown on the top in this picture
