  1. Just as long as the Lindberg 1964 Dodge/Plymouth kits don't vanish I'm good. I 'wish' they would update/modify/change the tooling to make a 1964 Dodge 2 door hardtop and a 1964 Plymouth 2 door sedan though
  2. Agreed, I just went thru every picture of the Vanke Duster I have and there are no wheelie bars visisble in any picture I have As far as making your own I tend to think they would not be that hard to make from scratch
  3. Good for you. Sounds like we have the same goals. Wife and I play on a winter volleyball league thru church, and I finally realized I need to loose some weight and get in shape to compete against some of these younguns. Already lost 7-8 lbs and I want to lose another 15. About 2 years ago I was up to 235 . Just trying to watch what I ate I lost about 10 lbs. But I want to get back down to approx 200 . But my main goal is lose the gutt and get in better shape overall. We tried the gym thing for a while and both of us hated it. Now we work in the living room on our own. 30 minutes a day 5 days a week. ( my insperation is she looks real good in her workout pants )
  4. I have a feeling your thinking about he MPC kits, 1971-73 body style ? I know the Parnelli Jones kit is the later body . Polar Lights is a 1969-70 Body style kit
  5. When I bought it, I don't remember but probably in the past 10 years. I'll have to ck the box
  6. I'm gonna have to ck in on this one. I've always thought the 58 Cadillac looked SO much better than the 59. I was just unsure of the quality of the Imex kit. I may have to pick one of these up for later on
  7. What is this thing called a book you refer to ,? I have a 4 drawer file cabinet filled with vintage magazines and 90% of the time when I need something . Google
  8. my gutt says it's an exact re-issue of the GR / Bluemax cars, just different decals
  9. Interesting setup. Best I can tell is they did away the upper spring, but kept the A arm / upper shock mounted position . Using the leaf spring as a torsion bar mounted in a fashion similar to a stock mustang strut rod arrangment. Cool, this shouldn't be hard to replicate
  10. Gotta like a Thunderbolt. Especailly when WELL done. These are one my favorite kits on the shelf.
  11. Probably has more to do with licensing than anything. Then again it may well be a test to see what sells best a no name car such as this compared to say the BlueMax branded kit
  12. Allen, You happen to have a comparison pic.? I'm trying to picture this issue and ck the one kit I have here. Did or does or will Lindberg replace bodies like on kits with issues ?
  13. Thanks , the car I have in process is the Gas Ronda long nose / wheelbase car. I've looked at the pictures I have of the car and it has what appears to be something resembling close to stock as far as the upper shock mount,,,,, just moved forward. But I can't tell anything beyond that
  14. Edsels are one of the ugly stepchilds of the era. But this looks just plain cool. so just keep on rocking
  15. Can anyone confirm the ft suspension used in the 1966 Long nose AFX mustangs . I've looked at pictures all morning and the best I can come up with is they used a stock lower control arm / steering setup. On what 'appears to be' a tube frame design . BUT, is it the standard mustang ' short upper / long lower' control arm set up with the strut rod design. I have a long sitting project thats calling out to me to finally get finished, and soon.
  16. Holy cow, I thought there were just the 5, then took a better look and saw the rest.
  17. Lookin good. I have one these same resin kits to do, I just can't make up my mind to do a Sox and Martin car or the Golden Commandos car decisions decisions
  18. That was funny chit. And a little 'razzle dazzle' can't hurt
  19. Just 11 ? must be a newbie
  20. I've seen several done and never heard of any issues . I have one to do but it's a ways down the list
  21. I've done the thin the hood area where the cowl vents are on a 1970 Challenger kit. it's actually not that hard to do and makes noticible difference
  22. I like it , well done I want to do this car but ths hood scoop has me scared off. I already have the Nomad planned for here soon and would like to do the Vette as well
  23. A good friend of mine owns a business manufacturing airport refueling trucks . And he collects all kinds of Oil tanker style trucks , most are Hess trucks . Pretty cool trucks for there intended market
  24. Yes it is/was. Doesn't matter to me HOW it is released . Just as long as it IS released. Even it comes exactly like it did in 1971 I'll still do the happy dance . Also, I hope once the kit is released maybe Missing Link with ' re-release' there 1972 Grille and interior conversion
  25. @ $45 each, you stole those. The red one in any of the 3 years is not all that hard to find. Even a red 1969 isn't to tough. But a blue 1968 or 1969 is tough,, especially if either have the original box. I've had a silver 67, dark green 68 and a dark red 69, but sold them all . I've since picked up a blue 69 with the cartoon box. and casually keep an eye out for another 67 and 68 Color is very much a determining factor on values when it comes to promos
