  1. they are / were the same grill
  2. Is it a 1970 Body or 1972? The Red Alert kit was a 72 , where as the actual car was a 1970
  3. WAY to high. Im thinking $30 or so , maybe as high as $50 if you really want one
  4. Anyone here going. Being new to the area I plan to go to this one https://10times.com/tucson-collectible-toy-show-and-sale
  5. read somewhere long ago this car was found and restored. How accurate it is , I have no idea
  6. Looking good. And if I may, with the amount of detail you've put in so far. Maybe look at some Holleys from Fireball ? Unless you plan to permanently glue the air cleaner in place then the carbs would be redundant
  7. And back then , even if one didn't follow Formula one racing most people knew very well who Emerson Fittipaldi and Ayrton Senna were. I'm not a builder of Formula 1 cars persay , but I pan to build one or both of these drivers cars someday
  8. Watching this one. I also have a soft spot for a 1960 Mercury. I picked up a decent builder a few years ago. If I can ever find stock tail light lenses I'll get to it My goal for the build is this exact car
  9. Ive built a couple of these kits, and always go with testors silver with a light coat of clear ( both rattle can )
  10. Ive always liked that car ( movie sucked though ) As for how much, I got no idea where to start. But I might be interested in working something out once you find a value so keep me in mind
  11. Very cool, I like that one a lot. I started to build one of these ( I have a decent original issue) I had a screw up with the decals and put it away. If they do it in the original box art, I'll buy one simply for that. Then use the body to build this exact car like shown.
  12. Good considering its age.
  13. Most of the re-issues of this car had a body with 68 side markers and everything else is 1969 I agree, sure would be nice to see this kit get back dated a correct 1968. I'll deal with the subpar chassis detail as I see fit
  14. Ive got a few of these missing link intakes , and will say they are better than even the Johan versions
  15. Back when I built my LRW, I bought an unbuilt kit of this one to use. going on 15 plus years ago now I guess ( this was way before any LRW re-issue and it was considerably cheaper than any issue of the LRW I could find ) I sold the box and decals on ebay and they brought nearly what I paid for the complete kit. I dont remember what happened to the phone co. parts
  16. Actually bought a couple over the past few weeks. A near mint Johan 1961 Dodge - one of the re-issue promos Also bought a builtup Johan 1969 AMX , wanted it strictly for the body glass and chrome
  17. Thats what I used. Just 1st coat spray it on a little light.
  18. Ive used testors wetlook clear over decals with no issues. it might depend on the decals used thoughMod These are kit decals under maybe 3 or 4 coats of said clear
  19. STELLAR build. Hands down one of my favorite year of the early bullet Birds. Excellent color choice
  20. What kind of problem will I run into if I transplant the front doghouse of this 72 Chevelle on to a current issue 1968 El Camino ( my preference if it is feasible ) Reason I ask, is a potential client is asking me to build a replica of his 1/1 car. and he has a resin body ( not my favorite route, especially if its a Flinstone body )
  21. Any thoughts on how to achieve this one by chance
  22. Does the car even exist in 1/24 or 1/25th scale ? I dont think so
