  1. Might be. But nothing in there lineup interests me.
  2. Everything you need to know about the Race hemi pkg cars is at racehemi.com Here is a snippet from there to sum up the 65 cars quote 1965 Race Hemi Lightweight Package The light weight package offered in 1965 was only available on the Dodge Coronet and Plymouth Belvedere-I two door sedan (post) bodies. As stated in Chrysler documents "The balance of the unit, the interior trim and seats is basically the same as the 1964 Hemi Charger Super Stock." There are however some changes that include: 1. "Light weight" thin steel front fenders instead of aluminum. 2. "Light weight" thin steel hood with hemi style thin steel air scoop 3. "Light weight" thin steel radiator core support and grill support brackets. 4. Engine weight reducing parts that include a new magnesium crossram intake manifold instead of aluminum. 5. Aluminum hemi cylinder heads 6. Aluminum water pump housing and thermostat housing 7. Aluminum alternator brackets The thin steel fenders, hood and scoop were a direct result of NHRA no longer allowing cars to be produced with the aluminum parts used on the 1964 Race Hemi cars. EDIT, Ive always been of the understanding all race hemi cars were 2 door sedan body styles. ALTHOUGH , there are a few race Hemi 2 door hardtops known to exist. I was told years ago they are/were an anomaly and how they became to be is unknown More Dodge and Plymouth Maximum Performance Wedge and Hemi Packages The following is a list of Maximum Performance packages and race engines based on Maximum Performance packages. 3. PS, got the dash. still need to ck and see if I have the glass
  4. Saw this few days ago. No idea year.but it was pretty cool to see with Alaska plates, But we were a long way from Alaska in southern Arizona
  5. I'm afraid that ones done. Shame, they were a really nice looking convertible Now, the questions is. Whats that on the other side of it. My 1st thought was 1960 Imperial convertible but it has the wrong tail fin for that ? I ' THINK' its a 1960 Fury convertible. Another VERY nice looking car from the period
  6. The flash kit is the only one capable of building a true A990 version right out of the box. Which is what the majority of the Super Stock mopars started with.. The Missle car is a hardtop. Thus had the wrong interior as well. The other version they make (black car on the box ) has the right sedan body ...bot sure a out the interior. But wrong drivetrain.
  7. I had the exact same decal issues, Mine turned out nice , but not as nice as yours.
  8. Give me a few days to look around. I have a couple MPC challenger and several parts kits AMT challenger. SO I will ck the dash to see if they interchange. Not sure about the glass, will ck as well
  9. Dash for what challenger kit ? I probably have the dash from an AMT kit And btw, it appears we have similar tastes in subject matter MPC 1968 Charger annual and Revell 1968 Dart
  10. Nice, I had the same sheet that shattered when pulling them from the water .I didn't have another decal sheet. SO,,,,,, I stripped the body and did the Ramchargers car instead
  11. WOW....pretty cool start so far.
  12. Ray, Any chance these decals can be done with a white side stripe and WITHOUT the R/T lettering cut in ? Also, I didn't see the sheet to do the back seat in the revell Thunderbolt listed ? ( unless I missed it )
  13. Looks killer As for issues. Keep in mind this kit was designed and originally produced back in the sixties by IMC . And with some patience can be a very nice kit to have on the shelf PS, the very 1st little red wagon was a plain red with white lettering . And was NOT driven by Bill Maverick ( he came into the picture later ) Me personally would love to have the decals to replicate this very truck
  14. Shame, history destroyed . Be interesting what comes to light once its all the facts are in ( if that ever happens )
  15. Picked up several parts at the Desert Scale classic for a few cars on the shelf. Most importantly I found the stock tail light lenses for both my AMT 1960 Ford Sunliner and my 1960 Mercury Park lane builders
  16. Right on, that car to me was always the best looking of the blue max cars ive got a few of the Johan mustangs I just might save one of them and do this car myself
  17. Ok Who has show results.? Chris ( aka Mooneyes ) HAD to get best of show. I finally got to see it in person and WOW, Impressive is a huge understatement
  18. Pretty much packed up , headed up tomorrow morning. We are planning to stay the nite over near Westgate Plaza outside Cardinals stadium . Then drive back to Tucson Sunday after breakfast / ck out. Bringing LOTS of unbuilts , and quite a few of vintage kits and several vintage empty boxes ( Im not a box collector ) I think Ive got this stuff priced to sell . So bring your cash boys.
  19. Not likely that I'll enter anything in the contest. Although i might just for giggles. Problem for me is most of my finished stuff is still packed away from the move. Im going more to thin the pile down than anything I'll be wearing a red shirt ....with AM High tech Automotive on it Wife god will be with me...to help control expenses going back out ...LOL
  20. Yep, At least from Mopar they were very accurate
  21. Looks good. But just an fyi, the only Dart where the battery was relocated to the trunk,,,,,were the hemi cars. Also Im pretty sure these cars were avail with full hubcaps like you have shown. Not sure about the availability of power brakes or not on a big block car.
  22. I would leave it flat on the backside to retain some strength / integrity
  23. Thanks. EDIT, bought - paid for 2 tables this afternoon See ya all there .
  24. Anyone know if vendor tables are still avail for this show by chance . ?
  25. Ive seen the Butch Leal 1965 Belv in person. And it is most definitely orange. BUT, its a restored car so I cant say with 100% certainty if its dead nuts accurate or not
