  1. Randy, what did you use as a primer under the black?
  2. Definitely an odd package, but man that's some clean detailing!
  3. OKAY MISTER! That is e-nough out of you. I'm ashamed to have the same name. I cannot believe you would treat an innocent MOPAR like that!
  4. Looks to me like you have a duke's mixture of Micro Machines and kit trophy tops.
  5. Semantics. I personally have not used the Alclad base black. I have used Testors classic black, Krylon gloss black, Odd's'n'Ends gloss black and a host of others. All enamels. I "shoot" two mist coats waiting two or three minutes between then one good even wet coat. Come back in less than five and spray the Alclad over the still tacky enamel. Done. The paint becomes rock hard and it's never been an issue.
  6. Indiana to Kentucky? Better negotiate!
  7. I was going to send you a P.M. but I think it's more important for the board to see how this whole thing was worked out in public. Gentleman to gentleman. I agree with the "little fish" comment, although each and every one of us do aspire to be the big fish, otherwise what's the point right? I'm sure I will be having more than one conversation with Mother Mopar in the future and you all have my word I will do what I can to continue doing what I do. If I get big enough that Chrysler corporation feels it's due something i'll swim that river when I get to it.
  8. Oh yea, Bench seat for the 1971 Duster and I'm in. First line: I'm sure you meant "This is NOT meant as a bash..."? Second line: No, it is not your job to do MY homework, but if it's the case where you stated they have come to you before, I would have thought in all that discussion you would have, as a courtesy, mentioned this to me. Especially after bringing up things like "Oh yea, Bench seat for the 1971 Duster and I'm in." You were one of the more vocal members in that thread and it just stands to reason you could have mentioned all the above before now. I have done homework but no amount of homework could have prepared me for "PS, Also, trust me, people are paid to do nothing but monitor boards like this,,, ebay,,,, internet chat rooms etc etc etc to watch for trademark infringements on a daily basis". That's all i'm saying. Help a guy out, give a brother a break.
  9. Well done. Very realistic.
  10. Cut the window carefully fore and aft of the connecting runners. Once the window is safely out grind or sand down the runners with a Dremel.
  11. Well, the reason I asked is because more often than not when a fingerprint of glue gets on the glass, it's because the vapors from the cyanoacrylate attach themselves to a previously unseen fingerprint. In your case follow Ray's advice above and i'll add as you're sanding be sure to back the window up with a solid surface to work against. Holding the glass in your hand will only allow the piece to flex and cause more damage to it. Also place a piece of wax paper between it and the surface you're sanding on.
  12. And after several posts in the Mopar or Nocar thread...you never thought to mention this to me? Thanks alot.
  13. UUuuhhh...yeah. When it comes to looking at things on ebay Brock you're just going to have to read the descriptions and take thier word for it. We can't help you with that. Type in the keywords for what you're looking for and see what comes up.
  14. Harry P ladies and gentlemen! He's here all the time! Honestly, as much as we'd like to we can't get him to go away! To answer your question Brock the general concensus (if you don't have a scale ruler available at many fine hobby shops) is that one millimeter equals one inch. Of course the only kit i've ever seen that was perfect 1/25th scale was one my buddy worked on, that being the 1966 Batmobile by Polar Lights. At nine inches long it's exactly 1/25th.
  15. Exactly, which is the crowd/genre Moebius has built thier stock-in-trade on. The only thing I think that could cause it to bomb would be...say it with me..."Rise of the Dark Knight". That's a movie that stunk out loud as far as i'm concerned. Bane doing a bad Jean-Luc Picard impression, the redundant Catwoman character whose scenes and lines were merely cherry picked from earlier movies and shows. The reduced role of Alfred. Not even Morgan Freeman's presence could help this cinematic abortion. The people who will be buying this kit for the most part will be doing so based on the strength of "The Dark Knight" and the superb performance turned in by the late Heath Ledger, and of course on the first of the failed trilogy, Batman Begins. I'm a fan of Nolan's worked, but I feel he dropped the ball on the finale and just phoned it in. Perhaps there was a pall over the film from the start because of Ledger's death since the Joker was supposed to return. Maybe it was due to Bale's unwarranted ragerant on a hapless stagehand and the back lash from that. Opinions abound and i'm sure that one or more of you might feel differently than me but this has been festering in me ever since I paid PPV $5 for the film and STILL felt ripped off! Glad I never went to the theatre! However! With the recent spate of models in auto form coming from the branching Moebius, I expect my review of the Tumbler to be way different! As they say in Hollywierd...stay tuned!

  17. 1:1 Is the place for it. Although most folks here ignore videos I would say upload it to youtube and leave a link for those who want to see it. You'll find an easier time loading it to youtube than here.
  18. You say "glue from a fingerprint". I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you used super glue didn't you?
  19. ZANG! Makes me wanna listen to "Legs".
  20. Not even the Ross Gibson Cleveland? If it was a definite gotta have it he's expensive but a very close Cleveland.
  21. Anne- Regarding the Alclad- There's a pinned article and I believe it's in general, that will help you immensely with using Alclad. Gregg put quite a bit into it and if you follow those directions you can't go wrong. As a novice it should save you quite a bit of grief.
  22. Total mindmelter! I would have thought there'd be action figures, diecasts and models all over the place for something like this. After checking into it a little it turns out it was a bit of a bomb at the box office because they likened it to Star Wars. It's gained a cult following but I guess not a big enough one to spawn much merch. Too bad. I'll just have to watch the sci-fi boards awhile.
  23. All I can add is, if there's no antennae on the top of the car, I will pack them upside down, so there is no wieght on the wheels. Then close the box and affix a fairly large label with a small address on it. This forces the box to stay upright for the bulk of the trip because the address needs to be seen. Never had an issue.
