Allen, I think I understand what you've built but some close up pics of the stand with a part being held would really be helpful. I'm always interested in stuff like this. I use some as well. Can't remember where I bought it though.

Sometimes the best solutions are the most obvious. Thanks for telling me what to do with that roll of Press and Seal above my work bench. The lacquer thinner tip is also another obvious solution. Thanks for pointing it out, Kevin.

Yes, but not immediately. I just get another one out and use it. I don't use them all the time. Just when I'm trying to, as the thread title says, "dispense thin glue precisely".

We flush our used syringes with water. I use them for thin CA glue.

Thanks for the reply, Doug. I looked at what they had there and there are so many different grits. They list 36 as coarse, 100 as medium. What is 400 like on plastic?

I'm a big fan of Hobbylinc as well. One other source is to sign up for the Hobby Lobby newsletter. You'll get a coupon weekly for 40% off on regularly priced items. They don;t carry a lot of the models I like but I did buy a Fireball Roberts 57 Ford for less than $15. You can print and use the coupon for one item per visit. I always have the wife buy something when I need to. I buy Tamiya primer there as well as other odds and ends for modeling.
