  2. our first effort is excellent. Keep it up!

  5. Sorry to take so long to respond but the model was 100% out of the box. The tonneau cover as well as wheels are directly from the kit.
  6. Nice looking build! As for polishing Future, I used 8000 and then 12000 polishing cloths, then Novus Fine Scratch Remover and finally Novus polish on this Falcon Ranchero. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=91357&hl=
  7. Art, I'll take a look at the contents and see what's in the brew.
  8. Nope, I'm talking about denatured alcohol. I saw that tip here on the forum. Do a search for denatured alcohol in the Model Building Q & A. Got a gallon at WM and it works better than anything I've tried so far. Didn't destroy anything. I'm going to give the water and acetone mixture a shot too. Here's a pic of the stuff I'm using now. http://smg.photobucket.com/user/baddogracing/media/Model%20Car%20Photos/DSC_4273_zps7930f330.jpg.html
  9. Great looking cars and a good variety also. I enjoy seeing American cars in other countries.
  10. I've tried a lot of glues that are recommended here on the forum. I've just started using Super Jet and it has become my go to glue for almost everything. I ordered some of their medium thickness and it's pretty thin. I may try some of their thicker stuff next time.
  11. Looks good so far. I'm anxious to see the finished product. I'm working on the Fireball Roberts 57 Ford.
  12. Nice! The decal work is great!
  13. Love the car and the color!
  14. Beautiful! Always loved the 59 Caddies and Chebbies.
  15. The SMER was one of the first kits I tried when I returned to the hobby. I thought it would be easy but the seam did present problems for my limited skills. I may create something different with it some day.
  16. This is what I use. Works well and doesn't smell bad at all. http://www.hobbylinc.com/htm/hlc/hlc151.htm
  17. Great execution and unique blending of parts. That would make a cool 1:1.
  18. Great looking model. The two tone is unique.
  19. Tamiya TS76 Mica Silver is pretty fine. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=91357
