Nope, I'm talking about denatured alcohol. I saw that tip here on the forum. Do a search for denatured alcohol in the Model Building Q & A. Got a gallon at WM and it works better than anything I've tried so far. Didn't destroy anything. I'm going to give the water and acetone mixture a shot too. I've tried a lot of glues that are recommended here on the forum. I've just started using Super Jet and it has become my go to glue for almost everything. I ordered some of their medium thickness and it's pretty thin. I may try some of their thicker stuff next time.

Looks good so far. I'm anxious to see the finished product. I'm working on the Fireball Roberts 57 Ford.

The SMER was one of the first kits I tried when I returned to the hobby. I thought it would be easy but the seam did present problems for my limited skills. I may create something different with it some day.
