Threw this together for the club build project. I've known about it for a while, but with how the last 4-5 months have been, so I kinda threw this together in the last couple days between work, visiting Mom after work, and sleep, which is why I don't have many build pics of it. Not my best work, and I have a few things I'll do different if I build another one of the '32 Kits. The headlights and shocks/brackets are in the purple pothole (I used a prescription bottle), but those will be in flat black as well and I may paint the shock portion with Future once the black primer is dry.

The kit: * * * First thing to do, trace the mold lines with a marker and sand & polish them out: ]* * * Next, for my own reference, highlight the lift-off nose section, because I'm planning to build this one all opened-up and plumbed/wired to the best of my ability. * * * Ughhh, ugly cut: * * * All separated now, the red 'scars' are where the knife & saw blades slipped and gouged the surface. After the photos, I filled them with Squadron fine (grey) filler and sanded them back with various grades of wet'n dry. * * * This is my 'serious' project to take me through the holidays and well in to the New Year. Stay tuned it could be fun, or it could be a complete dogs dinner, we'll find-out together. AFN Ian.

HI! Got this puppy finished.. Still realized while taking photos that it had side mirrors missing.. I have glued on them now, but does not shown in these pics... Out of box models, but exhaust ending, wheels and tires i did pick up from part box.. I had to use 6-lug wheels since they were only steelies i had free for this build.... But you sure want to see photos?

Hi all, Been a while since I posted one of my builds on here. This is the Revell Foose 65 Impala that I finished up a couple of months ago. I used a lot of engine and interior detail parts from Pro Tech Such as all wiring, plumbing, fittings, carb, air cleaner, oil breathers, oil filter, throttle linkage, distributor setup and seatbelt harness. Also a complete Resin and Aluminum Big Block 572 engine, full exhaust and custom racing seats from Sweet Scale detail. The wheels are parts box wheels that I took off of an old Di-cast a few years ago. There is a PE set form The Model Car Garage used also for the emblems and dash detail. Hope you all enjoy the pics.

Hey! Got new project started with testing my new spray paint booth.. Results with TS-92 metallic orange could be better, since i got bit dust on my paint job, but i can live with it,becouse im building this just as some nice shelf model.. Not in shows to display... Here we go..

Hello friends Being the first jet fighter jet in the world to enter service, my duty had to be to have it in my collection. Although it was late his introduction in service could have recovered the air supremacy for the Luftwaffe in the Second World War. Quick build in between the big detail builds. 2015 Mustang GT. I did some mods, hand grafted and molded a unique rear spoiler, hood scoop and removed the front stock grills and replaced with PE mesh. Did the same with the two hood "vents", opened and used mesh. Mirrors are from a 2012 Mustang parts kits I have. Aluminum tubing exhaust tips too.Wheels are Aoshima I accented with some Magnisium buffing paint. I don't like the kit "painted" taillights, so I BMF over them and used a red Sharpie, I think it looks far more realistic. If you note, the biggest thing I did was fabricated a set of actual realistic headlights! Those that might know, this snaptite kit comes with silver painted plastic as headlights. Paint is Duplicolor Stellar Blue with lots of polished and buffed Duplicolor clear coats.

Just finished a long-time build of the Revell 70 Torino GT. I have to say, one of the best detailed kits I've built. Kept it mostly stock with exception of a custom Emerald Green pearlized and highly polished paint job. Lots of detail, opened the front grill center section, and spent some time on engine compartment detailing, which I actually do not enjoy doing unless I'm in a specific mood. Lowered front and rear suspension to "stance" the car better than stock and added some Aoshima custom 6-spoke wheels

I did this as a slump buster. Was disappointed when I opened the box and found no decals, just stickers. Surprisingly they went down pretty well and conformed to curves better than I expected. I am looking forward to the full detail kits of the Ford and Chevy, I have not picked up either yet. Comments welcome, thanks for looking.

Checking out everything that's in the box with the new 70 Charger. Wonderful kit, crisp molds and sweet redline tires. Will make a great complement to their excellent 68 and 69 kits. I've been working on Revell's awesome new kit for about a month now (I only get a day or two a week to build). All parts are spray painted, it's now time for some detail brush painting, decals, and assembly. I'm hoping to have it done by Thanksgiving. I thought posting here might hold me to that! This is my first build in 3 years, so I'm keeping it close to box stock and fun. I opted to build a Charger 500 by omitting the door scoops and not using any R/T decals. Paint it Testors Hemi Orange and Lacquer Clear. Kit will be box stock except for wheels and tires (plan is to use AMT '70 Chevelle deeper Magnum 500s and L60 tires all around) and maybe a pre-wired distributor. This is a fantastic kit with great proportions, minimal mold lines and beautiful parts fit. I am loving this build, and highly recommend this kit. Thanks for looking, it's good to be back building.

My first build in almost 30 years. This is an old issue Revell 54 Chevy gasser kit that was sitting on my shelf. It was missing quite a few parts like the front door panels, front and rear bumpers, front and rear suspensions, engine, and tranny among other things. What was there was a broken back window, cracked front valence panel and the body was so thin you could almost see through it. I thought about finding a re-issue version but opted for fabrication and robbing my parts boxes. I began with weathering the body to hide some of glue stains and went from there. I used a combination of methods (salt chipping and windex and dusting to achieve the effects you see. The windshield, side windows and back window are scratch built using clear projection sheets from the old style school overhead projectors. This was my first time using BMF and am still learning its challenges and realized this was probably not the best one to start with as most of the body lines were pretty minimal and faint.

Hello partners In this hobby always improves with time, so, here I present two models of submarine type VII. The first one I built could be seen the interior, the compartments and different details that represented the development inside the submarine. The second one focuses on doing a more elaborate exterior work, thanks to the Griffon Model photogravure that complements this model of Revell, the termination in my opinion has been very good. Finished on Friday: Revell kit with JWTBM decals (a gift from a mate back in UK), Tamiya 'Italian Red' straight from the rattle-can for the body and Xtracolour & Tamiya enamels everywhere else. Ian.

So i have no clue wether this should be under the workbench or glass section as its completed but ill post some building pic's also. The build of my Diablo VT Fully painted with 3 layers of the TS-89 spraycan Final assembly: Completed (although still needs polishing and decals): Quite happy with the outcome of it, must say Revell is alot less detailed than im used to from Tamiya (steering dont work for example), but its fun as a "quick build" depending on how far you go with paint etc...

Most recent build completed. Revell Crusader, 1/12 scale 'Amercan Chopper' style bike. Fun build, a few scratch parts like the HT leads and Brake lines, Paint is Humbrol 51, Sunset Red though over white primer it's more hot pink but I like, it, very hot rod and bright and noticeable. Hi all, fresh from my completion of the Subaru, I pulled out next in the line of models to get built. This one is going to be intended as a gift to someone who is a big fan of VW Campers, and I'm going to try shooting it with some slightly interesting paint (first time using an airbrush too). I'm aware for a second go it's very ambitious, but we all need to be challenged, right? I've opted for Zero paints ZP-4032 which is a green-purple flip. I think I'll keep the rest of the colour scheme in line with the box art/as revell intended mostly. I tried painting the whitewalls on the tyres as per the instructions, but that seems to be an express ticket to insanity. I might look into decals, but at the moment I'm quite happy how they look unpainted. Thanks for looking

Not the Tamiya 'uber kit', this is the RoG version of the magnificent LaFerrari. Back-story, my 10 year old daughter was in the man-cave with me a few weeks back looking through the stash... "Hey dad, would you build a model just for me ?"... "Yeah of course..." I was thinking a wee Airfix 1:72 or something similar. "Great, can I have this one ?" And she's pulled-out my Fujimi 246 Dino 'enthusiast' series kit. So after some rapid negotiation, she changed to the La Ferrari. She's decided on an electric blue colour which she'd mixed herself from my Tamiya acrylics and it looks incredible. It's going to be a slow-ish build project but so far the only problem it's thrown at me is the exhaust openings in the lower body which need a lot of filing and thinning back to accommodate the pipes and the chassis/diffuser tray. If anybody here has built one of these, I''d be grateful any heads-up you can give for the rest of the build. Thanks for taking the time to look and/or comment. Ian.

Second completion this week was this out of the box build of Revell's fourth gen' Firebird. Paint is Tamiya Metallic Orange straight from the rattle-can, looks to my eye like a perfect shoe-in for GM's 'Sunset Orange'. Not too much else to say except I didn't realise until I saw these photo's that the Turtle Wax was still hiding in some of the recesses... it's fixed now and I've also run a black wash in to the door joints which looks much better. Hey folks, back with another non-NASCAR vehicle project: This time the excellent Revell ’65 Stepside. No chrome, low-profiles or carbon ceramic discs on this one, just good old sheet steel and skinny cross-plies and brakes the size of milk-bottle tops. Built straight from the box and painted in Tamiya acrylics (my own mix), great relaxing build with no vices apart from the bonnet/hood that doesn’t match the contours of the main body – apparently a common problem with this ‘family’ of molds, but I guess most folks here know that already - I didin't !. No matter I thoroughly enjoyed it. As ever please feel free to ask any questions or make any comments or criticisms. More soon, stay tuned. Ian.

So I'm working on a Revell '66 Impala to be built in the style of my Lime Green '65 and wanted another set of the Foose wheels to keep the build style in tradition to the '65. So I got another Foose '65 for real, put the custom wheels aside in the '66 box and brainstormed ideas for the 2nd '65. I was going to make it a gasser Impy or slapping some mags and painting it baby blue of some sort, but then I saw the rear glass came broken in half in the bag and then I had this odd idea come over me and stumbled upon some rust bucket impalas upon a photo search for some inspiration. This is also my very first rusting, "junking", and weathering attempt along with simulating a "broken" glass, and although not to extreme levels I think it came out good considering just getting sloppy for the hell of it and messing around with Testors rust paint and oxide red primer. Mostly OOB, body paint is Rustoluem Gloss Red as an approximation for 1965 Chevrolet Ralley Red, and the frame is mist coated sears red oxide primer (which is a very close rust color if applied in certain coats).
