I got this yesterday afternoon. I painted it Tamiya Italian Red, with semi gloss black interior. I really enjoyed building this one. Let me know what you think.

Thanks for looking.

Al

I like it. Captures the look pretty well. I had a 73 sport, white with the lazer stripe. I wonder if anyone will ever come out with a lazer stripe decal.

Thank you Bob, Ray, Dave and Danno. The decals are excellent in this kit and there is no bleed through of color of the body. They are very easy to work with. I did the sides first and then the roof stripe.

Nice work Al!  Should've figured you'd have one done first!  :D   Hope to see it at the Diversified Scalerz show on the 3rd.

And you answered my question on the roof stripe.

I'll never know how you do it Al!

I spent several hours this weekend just detail painting an engine & chassis plate, & making a few small under hood detail parts.

If I ever tried to do a build in 24 hours, it would look like.............I did it in 24 hours! :P

Anyway, nice job!

It looks good together. I can see where the tuck-under in the lower part of the body is a tad shallow, but the overall impression is very good. Just need to figure out how to get a stock ride height and find some Magnums.

Al, as always, great work. Hope to see this at LIARS.

Yup, great work...but somehow, I wonder why they even made this kit. Personal opinions may not count here, but this is one ugly car...just sayin'. Beautiful build, just a strange looking car. I might get one just to say i have one but doubtful i would build it...on second thought, it IS very unique...OH THE AGONY of decision!!!!

They didn't make the kit because the car was beautiful. They made the kit because the car is iconic. And given the way these things are pre-selling (apparently), they made a great choice of subject matter.

I've never been a fan of the 70s Torinos either, but you have admit, there have been plenty of ugly cars kitted over the years. Thank God for all of them!

These Torinos were all over the place in '73-'74, in one configuration or another.

You couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting one, so someone must have liked them.

Even my small hometown police department had a light blue '73 4 door for one of their cruisers.
