Jim_Kampmann Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I couldn't agree more - outstanding! Great work Dennis! Can't wait to see it in paint! Thanks for sharing...Jim Kampmann
gasser59 Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Is this still sitting on your work bench Dennis waiting for your attention? Would love to see this one continued.
OldNYJim Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 I'd love to see more of this too! Beautiful build!
Modlguy Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Great build so far. The stance is perfect. That's a very deep front axle. Looks like a little more drop than the stock '32. From your original post I'm wondering if you added a little plastic to the ends to lower it.
bobthehobbyguy Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Absolutely beautiful work. Will be a real beauty when its finished.
Dennis Lacy Posted February 22, 2016 Author Posted February 22, 2016 (edited) Dennis?? Calling Dennis?? Thanks for the continued interest in my little roadster, guys! It's still sitting exactly as it was last pictured except now it's in a box to keep it from getting dusty. I haven't done any modeling for the last couple of months because I strapped down and got hyper-focused on finishing my full-size '32 Pickup hot rod. It's been on the road for a few weeks now and I just today sat down at my bench and did a little work on a different project just to get the model juices flowing. The little roadster is very close to being paint-ready and I plan to get back on it very soon and work towards completion. I'll definitely post an update during the paint process. GTJUNIOR Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Love the retro look on your truck, looks really cool.
gasser59 Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 I guess we'll let you off the hook on your lil roadster since you've been working on your 1:1 pickup. Looks great and I'll be she's a blast to drive.
geemoney Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 ok, the deuce highboy pickup pic is jus plain braggin'!LOL, that is beautiful!
Dennis Lacy Posted August 30, 2016 Author Posted August 30, 2016 (edited) Update! A few weeks ago I got everything painted and over this past weekend I managed to get about halfway through final assembly. Hoping to get it finished over the coming holiday weekend. Here's some sub-assembly pictures and a mock up. I ended up changing the decal scheme just before paint after I scored the sheet from AMT's recent retro reissue of the '32 Vicky off of eBay for $3.50. Color is actually very dark blue. Ace-Garageguy Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Oh yeah...that was worth the wait. Love your real-steel '32 pickup too. Man, that's fine.
dragcarz Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Very nice, love it and your truck. You are one blessed man!
Misha Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Great to see the roadster nearing completion! The colours really pop out against the black scheme, metallics are bang on. It was worth the wait ?.Cheers Misha
gasser59 Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 I just keep coming back to this one and studying the most recent photos. Killer build all the way around. Do you consider it finished?
