Len Woodruff Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Is the frame in the Wagon the same wheel base as the sedan?
Casey Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 (edited) Also, these two Revell kits:7680 - 1/32 Opel GT7681 - 1/32 VW Beetle Edited April 9, 2016 by Casey
Daddyfink Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 I think Revell is riding the Gasser craze, a bit late as usual, but trying.
Dave Van Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 I think Revell is riding the Gasser craze, a bit late as usual, but trying. Better late than never!!!!! I did these a while back for Gofer Racing decals.......might work well.....
slusher Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 I could care less he does it....wish I didn't have to wade through his listings. I agree 100 percent Dave. I Can't believe that some one would be giving 54 bucks for some of his parts. I have to wade thru them also and he has a bunch of Ramcharger parts...
Dave Darby Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Use the fenderwell headers and standard suspension and you're pretty much there. That's how I would have handled the 2 n 1 aspect of this kit, the straight-axle "gasser" as option A, and a junior stocker with Cragars or chrome reverse all the way around as option B and just eschewed the showroom stock version entirely.Hahahaha... How much you want to bet that isn't legit art work? ;-) Go back and look at the "Bent Eight" decals on the first 57 sedan box. They're not photoshopped on. There are still some functioning ALPS printers out there... It's Skill 5, the 7+ is the new hours rating they're using. They've used that black skill level box on a few kits in the past month or two, it's legit. New, but legit. Well, since I am Facebook friends with one of the guys who builds box art stuff for Revell, I am now prepared to eat my words. I saw pics of the build used for the box. Robert Gluckman, who also used to build for AMT/Ertl built it. It's legit. I still think the sedan would have made more sense, but I'll probably still buy a couple. I'd still never sit a 56 body on that frame tho. If I wanted a 56 Gasser, I'd just borrow the suspension.
charlie8575 Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 (edited) That sent me down to dig through my stack of old Rod & Custom magazines: Gorgeous gear-head-ette; been trying to find one (a little more age-appropriate) for years. No luck. A non-Armenian from Glendale? I didn't think such people existed! Why, oh why can't I find one for myself? It would make life so much easier not having to explain the whole car thing all the time. Charlie Larkin Edited April 10, 2016 by charlie8575
Brett Barrow Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Is the frame in the Wagon the same wheel base as the sedan? Yes. The 57 wagons (and Ranchero) used the shorter Custom/300 frame.
Casey Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Frank promoting Revell?...I need to sit down and rest a bit. Looks like the die-cast F&F '70 Charger, now in polystyrene.
Dave Van Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Frank promoting Revell?...I need to sit down and rest a bit. Looks like the die-cast F&F '70 Charger, now in polystyrene. Pre Revell new tool plastic body.......
blubaja Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Frank promoting Revell?...I need to sit down and rest a bit. OK so they can get this one lol. I'll be their overly harsh critic, but I'll still buy sometimes
martinfan5 Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 So still excited about the C7R , and Ramcharger, maybe the FF Charger.
Sledsel Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Maybe I'll get one for the gasser parts, but will be a parts kit only. Have 2 sedans and a wagon "in progress" and correcting the bodies has burnt me out.

Mr mopar Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 (edited) I hope the 70' charger will come with stock parts ,the grill looks good ! Edited April 12, 2016 by Mr mopar
Rob Hall Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Interesting they show it with the grille w the headlight covers closed. The car in the first movie had the headlight covers open, as did the Revell diecast.
gasman Posted April 12, 2016 Author Posted April 12, 2016 I'm assuming the f&f 70 Charger will be a 2n1. With a stock option. I'm hoping they go for an accurate stock 70 Charger and an incorrect f&f charger
Rob Hall Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Nothing so far indicates a 2n1, but we will see.
stavanzer Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Well, after buying the dreadful AMT Dukes/F&F mashup, this Revell thing has to be better. I am guessing that even if there is no 2n1 now, there will be in the future. I will buy both the first and second hits from this tool.
DanR Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Maybe I'll get one for the gasser parts, but will be a parts kit only. Have 2 sedans and a wagon "in progress" and correcting the bodies has burnt me out. This gasser is a must buy for me!
Jhedir6 Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 If this is your pic, do you have any better shots of the C7R? I'd like to get a look at the ride height. Thanks David
High octane Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 This gasser is a must buy for me!Check out my "gasser" build under Drag Racing (Revell '57 Gasser) as I didn't wait for Revell to issue one, I made my own. Of course most of the parts came from Revell kits also like the 427 & the front suspension parts.
bismarck Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 I did see your gasser build. That turned out sweet!! Did you chop the front frame rails and add your own rails? Or did you go with the stock front frame?
