unclescott58 Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 ???? What in the heck is this seller up to? $10,000 for a model kit grille? And then the seller is listed as being away as I checked it? Something doesn't smell right?
Mike999 Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Ha! Thanks for the entertainment. But...he's LOWERED his prices!1! Not long ago, he listed 4 old American SATCO tires for...(insert Dr. Evil voice here)...Ten Thousand Dollars! Same thing, he claimed somebody had mistaken model stuff for real-car stuff. Complete with the same long-winded, repetitious, multi-colored, multi-font rant about all the stupid people who try to buy from him.I'm sorry, rational adult people just don't act that way. I'd never buy anything from that guy.
Belugawrx Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Hmmmm,..Sounds like he is experimenting with some recreational substances...
eastown Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Think maybe he had a problem in the past with selling a model part ??Bob
Ace-Garageguy Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 (edited) PJ Toys. Same clown has over 8,000 listings on ebay at the moment. Actions speak so much more eloquently than words though, don't they? Edited April 13, 2016 by Ace-Garageguy
unclescott58 Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 I just put in an offer for $1.00 to see what would happen. I don't need the grille, but $9,999.99 offer is a joke. My offere was automatically rejected. But I feel I've made a statement by doing it.

Too bad we can't get a few more thousand folks to do the same thing.

Maybe others should load up his box with such bids. I really don't understand the point of his ad? What is he trying to prove? I hope you followed suit, a gave your own bid Bill?
Badluck 13 Posted April 13, 2016 Author Posted April 13, 2016 At least he is reasonable on the shipping
Miatatom Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 I was just thinking, why does he have a shipping charge with a price like that? Maybe he meant 99 cents and fell asleep on the 9 button.
angelo7 Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Hey guys, that grille is made of pure gold! Give him a break.
gbdolfans Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 I bid the $1 and like before it was declined.I asked him a question about the price and got back a nasty reply.I wouldn't get anything from him if it was given away and free shipping.I am not posting reply, but,if you want to see it,PM me.
MrObsessive Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Did you guys know that the part is not for a real truck but for a model?? He must repeat that at least 1001 times. Hmmm............he's got 100% feedback though!

The only way you might actually make a statement with that person is doing what Bill suggested, but I think it would work better if those few thousand people contacted him , so, at the very least, you waste a lot of his time. StevenGuthmiller Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 (edited) Uuuuuh, misprint......I hope? I think it's humorous that across the top of the auction, it says the "seller is away". Of course he's away! He's putting a down payment on a new villa in the Bahamas!! Steve Edited April 14, 2016 by StevenGuthmiller
bobthehobbyguy Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Actually if you read the listing he knows he has a silly price. He expects that people will make an offer but he just wants them to acknowledge that is not a real grill. I suspect some idiot thought they were getting a grill for a full size truck and this is his reaction.
Ace-Garageguy Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 If you read the whole listing, he goes on and on and on about how rear this particular piece from a one-year-only kit is, and he's looking for some stupid money for it. Not 10 grand, but not 10 bucks either.
Brett Barrow Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 READ THE F&$%#&ING LISTING!!! He says use the "make offer" button. Geez... I feel this guys pain, I have to deal with this same type of stuff all the time. Want to know how many times we've sold $4.00 (with $2.00 shipping) HO scale Grandt Line 6 packs of windows to folks thinking they were full size replacement windows? Or Evergreen & Plastruct styrene siding that folks think is full size. Read the &$%#&ing listing, people! It really chaps my hide, I spend a good part of my day writing listings trying to think of what to say so that its clear what we're seling and nobody reads the BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH things. I waste my time writing them then waste more time answering questions and processing returns for folks that didn't read them...

Yeah, there's a LOT of that too, but this particular guy kinda has a 'following' . There's real stupid on both sides of the ebay buying / selling line.
keyser Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Someone needs to ask if the model grille comes with a real truck and how many miles does it have, since that's top dollar for a 70's Dodge. And see if he'd toss in some siding and windows with the grille and truck.

He does it so when he gets a negative feedback or a refund request he can show eBay a screenshot of the listing and get the negative feedback removed or dispute the refund, that's how he's at 100%. Everything he could possibly get negative feedback for he addresses in his listings and with the "away" notification (I'd bet he leaves it set like that so folks can't complain about slow shipping turnaround. I've had folks place order at 6pm and then ding us because it hasn't shipped by 10am the next day. Our pickup is at 2pm!) Guy's a genius, really. Makes him seem like a psycho, but he's got his bases covered.
