As you can see, I was a bit too aggressive on the sanding before I primed it with Tamiya Grey. I should have primed it first, and then wet sanded it. The details are so fine, so crisp, just that small sanding on the driver's door removed the door key/lock. You have to watch all the ribs/tops of the body, even the back of the hood has the hood hinge part molded in. The rear of the body has a small lip for the hardtop to sit on. Everything is done right. There are mold/pin marks under the hood and hardtop. Also, the hardtop is really thin, so thin it could be broken easily while sanding/painting it. It was hard to remove the ghost line on the hardtop, where a soft/half cab roof would be (future release?).

So, yes, ResinBronco.com will be history, or maybe just be hidden reason for this new Revell Bronco?

Yes, I know, I'm nutz....

k den

I will hopefully finish it tomorrow.

I've been keeping an eye on Bob Downie's build-up on Facebook. Overall, this is a very good kit.

The only nits he had was the grille was a too flat- it should have a slight "V" to it, and he found the tires scaled out to 13", which is rather interesting. That said, they look good, and it looks like the kit will, on the whole, come together very nicely.

We're waiting to get these in at the store; three on order (two for inventory and one for me,) and I've been stressing to the boss that we need these as early as possible; they'll be a good seller and we'll have egg on our face if we don't.

Looks like another great kit. Revell has done an outstanding job on the detail on this. Would not normally think of building a Bronco but this is just to nice not to play with.

On the first post I have the option to "report post".  I want to report you for sharing PORN on this thread...lol  Looks great!   I'm torn btw this version or whatever Revell cooks up for a second version later...  I'm more interested in it for the accuracy of the kit than the subject itself.  I don;t care so much WHAT a kit is if it's this nice.  But can't afford or want a lot of Broncos.   It's a dilemma...

Looks real interesting Gregg. I was unaware of this kit. I like what you are doing with it but about 20 other ideas ran through my head! Looks like a great kit to mix and bash with too.

Looks pretty nice.  I will be getting me a couple of them..I already have a request to build a replica version for my buddy Bill of his 1:1

Great to see a Gregg post of a very cool new kit. Thanks for all the photos. Looking forward to adding one of these to my stash.

My thoughts, exactly. Looking forward to more, Gregg.

Charlie,

The WHEELS scale out to 13", not the tires. If you look at the box art, the wheels appear to be small compared to the tires, probably one of the few complaints about this kit so far.

Gregg- thanks for posting this, I already had one on order from Tower Hobbies and I think I might be ordering a couple more, not sure if I can wait until the NNL in Atlanta in 2 weeks!

I'll try and finish it up tonight. Haven't been able to touch it since I posted the pics. I was hoping to do a 24-hour build, but wasn't physically able to.
So, I stopped the clocks, and when I start back on it, it may still be less than 24 hours.

Just started building mine today!  Like it so far.
The one thing that I found that I really wish Revell had added to this kit is the aftermarket fender flares so that I could put bigger wheels and tires under mine.
I am attempting to make a copy of my nephew's 1:1, it has huge 36" tall tires and the wheels are 17".
I am not talented enough to make my own flares so I guess I will live with the model the way it is.

Maybe the flares from the reissued 80'Volare would work with some modification.
