microwheel Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Howdy everyone. Been almost a year since I've had the chance to get on the site let alone post anything. This was a project I worked on last summer and fall in between wifes health issues, camping and doing some upgrade work on our motor-home to prep it for retirement traveling. I didn't detail it to the level I normally do but I did do a little detail work, mostly in the engine bay. I used the 72 long box version and the 69 short box version of the kit combined to get the look I was after. Sorry if some of the pics are a little blurry. Thanks For Look
redneckrigger Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 VERY nice detailing and a nice kitbash to come up with what was a very popular truck! NICE!
microwheel Posted February 13, 2017 Author Posted February 13, 2017 Thanks alot. If you notice a spot of the hood where the paint seems to be missing. I dropped the hood when setting it up for the pics. I plan to fix it in a few days. just got alot going on right now so time isnt allowing me to take care of it.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Very nice build! The under hood details look great. The starter solenoid looks spot on. I'm really impressed with your plug wires. Great work!!
mikemodeler Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 That is very nice, like the detailing and cleanliness of the build. I really dig those Bilsteins on the rear!
kelson Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Very nice and cleanly built,is the color factory or just the color you went with?.
microwheel Posted February 14, 2017 Author Posted February 14, 2017 Very nice and cleanly built,is the color factory or just the color you went with?.It wasnt a factory color that Im aware of. Unless you count that they would build some in a orange color for state and city road commissions.
microwheel Posted February 14, 2017 Author Posted February 14, 2017 Thanks alot guys. I still need to get busy and fix the chip in the paint on the hood. If time permits I work on it this weekend

Im working on a dodge dart over on the cars workbench board. Its great to have time to be back in the hobby room but spring is coming fast and there is lots to do to the motorhome where spring finally does get here. One of our first trips late this summer is gonna be down around pigeon forge to see my step son. Never know if time permits, I could always pop in to say hello.
