Rocking Rodney Rat Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 Here's a recent buildup of the (now gone?) Revell Model A Coupe kit. I flattened the front crossmember to get it out of the stratosphere. The engine is the Revell part pack Caddy. A few other mods here and there. Complete buildup pix here: http://public.fotki.com/jferren/1930-ford-5ive-wind/
KWT Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 Awesome job. Thanks for sharing!Really wish I had got one before they got gone.
High octane Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 Very nice build on that A Coupe and really likin' that Caddy motor too.
Del Austin Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 (edited) Great looking Model A. Where did you get the tires & wheels? I robbed the ones from my 30 kit for a build I am doing for my dad and need suitable replacements. Edited March 5, 2017 by Del Austin typo
D. Battista Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 Good lookin' Ford...! Like the blue and white...
doggie427 Posted March 5, 2017 Posted March 5, 2017 Love it,especially the wheel/tire combo and the Caddy mill.
Rocking Rodney Rat Posted March 5, 2017 Author Posted March 5, 2017 Great looking Model A. Where did you get the tires & wheels? I robbed the ones from my 30 kit for a build I am doing for my dad and need suitable replacements. The front wheels and tires are from Revell (available in several kits, '48 Ford, '40 Ford, '32 Five window coupe etc.) The rear tires are from the Monogram 1941 Lincoln with the steel wheel put together from the Lincoln kit outer rim with the inner rim from the Revell kits. See pix here on how to make those rear wheels: http://public.fotki.com/jferren/tall-rear-tire-with/ -RRR
tim boyd Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 (edited) Tasty, tasty baste! Excellent wheel and tire choice, too - and that early OHV Caddy just sings in the engine compartment! TIM Edited March 6, 2017 by tim boyd
DeeCee Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 What a beautiful rod, color scheme really sets it off.
