Matt Bacon Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 All that recent discussion of Pantera kits got me interested in building one, and the Fujimi seems to be a pretty good offering, albeit pretty simplified. It's highly "curbside" with simplified chassis/suspension and no engine at all, but the cabin interior is crisp and paints up nicely, and overall it seems to me to capture the shape and external detailing of the real thing very well. It's bigger than I expected, as well... I thought the Pantera was a smallish car, but, well, no.... And this is my attempt to recreate the cover of an early 70s issue of "Car" magazine: best, M.
iBorg Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 I remember the magazine cover. What's the brown car? Its one I can't I want to say a Maserati Merak but I'm not sure.
vamach1 Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 Very nice builds. Seems a crime they can get $35 for a kit with no engine.

Lovefordgalaxie Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 The engine is the part I like about the 1:1. You did a nice job on the kit, and the color suits it pretty well.

espo Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 Turned out great. To bad about the low parts count. I like your Magazine Cover idea.
Hard_2_Handle_454 Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 Looks a little different than the version I bought. I forgot what make it was, but I do remember it was a foreign kit. I like your version more as it seems to be a little more detailed. 1 (245) by Eric Lucas, on Flickr
TooOld Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 Haven't seen a Pantera in years , yours looks great ! It's a shame it has no engine as that was the main attraction of a Pantera in the first place .
jaymcminn Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 Nice job Matt. The Fujimi Pantera kit has been on my radar for a while and I might just have to pull the trigger based on your results. Great shots with the three exotics as well!
vintagercr Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 One of my all time favorites. Nice work.
Snake45 Posted December 25, 2017 Posted December 25, 2017 Very nice! Great paint and finish in particular.
aurfalien Posted December 25, 2017 Posted December 25, 2017 Hi, Your work is amazing as always, looks like a real 1:1 subject. I've been back and forth on buying this kit due to cost vs parts count. But seeing your makes me want to buy it.
