This is the first kit I've built in many years ( I used to be pretty good ) This was only built as a Christmas gift to my brother in law as his father bought one new.

I used the AMT 1976 Gremlin with the six cyl. engine and bucket seats from a MPC 1978 Pacer X.

I added my own plug wires and was very happy with the wheel detail. the paint color is 1997 GM code 88 bright purple with over reduced Nason clear.

This will be wired to a case base and the hood kept sliding off so I added micro rare earth magnets to the back of the hood and fender aprons.

I like how you photographed your model so it looks like a 1:1 car in the driveway. Very crisp clean build. Nicely detailed engine bay and the wheels are perfect. Your paint work is super smooth and has a great reflection finish.

Used to be pretty good? Still are, it looks like!

I was thinking the same.

Ain't no "used to" to it.  You still are!  That's a great looking Gremlin, and as mentioned, I also like the side shot photo.  Congratulations, and now you've made me want to dig out the model I haven't built yet!
