Kustomm Posted December 25, 2017 Posted December 25, 2017 This is the first kit I've built in many years ( I used to be pretty good ) This was only built as a Christmas gift to my brother in law as his father bought one new. I used the AMT 1976 Gremlin with the six cyl. engine and bucket seats from a MPC 1978 Pacer X. I added my own plug wires and was very happy with the wheel detail. the paint color is 1997 GM code 88 bright purple with over reduced Nason clear. This will be wired to a case base and the hood kept sliding off so I added micro rare earth magnets to the back of the hood and fender aprons.
DumpyDan Posted December 25, 2017 Posted December 25, 2017 Awesome looking Gremlin, the under side of the hood even looks like a Gremlin. That's a beauty.
Janne Herajärvi Posted December 25, 2017 Posted December 25, 2017 Very nice, i like that color combo and engine looks great
peekay Posted December 25, 2017 Posted December 25, 2017 Wow, excellent work all round. The wheels look incredible.
Classicgas Posted December 25, 2017 Posted December 25, 2017 Very well done! Incredible detailing on the wheels!
Dave Van Posted December 25, 2017 Posted December 25, 2017 WOW....super nice work!! Like the addition of the 6. A tough kit to get looking that good!!
shoopdog Posted December 25, 2017 Posted December 25, 2017 Great job on the Gremlin. I've built two of these but there nowhere near the quality of yours.
espo Posted December 25, 2017 Posted December 25, 2017 I like how you photographed your model so it looks like a 1:1 car in the driveway. Very crisp clean build. Nicely detailed engine bay and the wheels are perfect. Your paint work is super smooth and has a great reflection finish.
Hmann68 Posted December 25, 2017 Posted December 25, 2017 Used to be pretty good? Still are, it looks like!
Steamboat Posted December 25, 2017 Posted December 25, 2017 Super nice build. That color looks great on one of my all-time favorite cars.

berr13 Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 Ain't no "used to" to it. You still are! That's a great looking Gremlin, and as mentioned, I also like the side shot photo. Congratulations, and now you've made me want to dig out the model I haven't built yet!
TooOld Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 Nicest Gremlin I've ever seen , beautiful detailing all the way around !
webestang Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 Very nice! When I was a kid my Pop had one of those, it was brown over brown, so 70's.
bbowser Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 As mentioned above, not an easy kit to finish. You nailed it.
