Quick GMC Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 I purchased one of the 1/8th engines and I would definitely be interested in a couple of these
1930fordpickup Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Outstanding I would be interested in at least one of these. If you could do the 351 Cleveland and transaxle for the Pantera I would be ordering one of those also.

afx Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 3rd on the Pantera 351. Even just a gear box/ trans-axle would be appreciated.

1930fordpickup Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 I would like to add to what the others have said about the quality of the 427 engine and transaxle. This is truly what I have been waiting for from the 3d printed world in 1/25th scale.
Force Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 It's not a 427, just a 289-302 small block with Gourney Eagle heads...but it looks great. Although a 427 FE for the GT40 Mk II and Mk IV would be nice.

Bill J Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Coolest engine ever! Excellent work on the 3D engine, I want a few also
mad mike Posted January 28, 2018 Author Posted January 28, 2018 Thanks again for all the comments and looks! Here's a shot of all the components after cutting them from the platforms. Guess what - currently I'm working on the 427 of the GT40 Mk2...
Jhedir6 Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Looks amazing Mike. I'd be in for at least one of each. Please make them available.
GlueTube Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Great work Mike! The output printer....is it a Formlabs? Regards Brian Kroon
bobthehobbyguy Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Those parts look great. How much cleanup was required? Anything special as far as prev work for paint? What is the brand and cost of printer? What does the material for printing cost? How long did it take to print the paints for the engine? What cad program do you creating the parts?
89AKurt Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 All I can say is "wow". I'm anal enough to want to sand some of the parts, is that like cast resin in texture and result?
Drago Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Amazing. I would like to purchase those engines... FordGT40 MKI, MKII and Pantera 351. How do we proceed? Would you let us know a website or does it will proceed trought email/PM? Thanks and congrats
Dave Van Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Great work and nice designing. I'd be in for one myself. I think I see what will replace resin casting......
Bill J Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 I would definitely buy both a small block or 2 and a 427 or two, Super 3D skills Mike!
El Caballo Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 It is amazing what can be done with a 3D printer, ausgezeichnet.
Erik Smith Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 (edited) It appears the quality and detail on that engine surpasses molded plastic parts. The actual “v” on the pulley for the belts alone is awesome. The “fins” on the alternator? Wow. Edited January 30, 2018 by Erik Smith
Sport Suburban Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 I'm blown away by what I see here. I would love one of the 427 MKII. I still have about 5 of them to build in my stash.
mad mike Posted January 30, 2018 Author Posted January 30, 2018 All right, due to its popularity, here's a pic of the 427 as it is right now in CAD:
