John Teresi Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Hello.......this is a new project on the Work bench........ 1959 "Wild Cad" Custom.......I will change a few things on this build so it will "Not" be an exact replica......I`m starting with a Monogram 59` Cadillac Eldorado.......thanks for looking
misterNNL Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Man I love those big cruisers! Always thought you could string up a ping pong net across the trunk lid of one of those and have a little game.I'll be watching.Thanls for sharing.
Mr Dedo Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 This is one of my favorite lead-sleds. Thanks for building this particular kit.
Cool Hand Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Look forward too seeing your interpretation of WildCad, mainly cause it was built in Australia.
Mooneyzs Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 John... This is going to be another one of your Steller Creations. You will crush this out of the park like you always do on your builds. I can't wait to see what you do to this. You are always impressing all of us.
89AKurt Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 This should be cool, as expected, better not let us down.
HotRodaSaurus Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Looks cool, takes a great designer to really make something from these late 50s cars. Should make a cooooool model
Modlbldr Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Going to have to watch this one and see how it comes together. Later-
Codi Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Phenomenal car John, I'm waiting too like everyone else as you move along with it. Cheers, tim
Jantrix Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Wow this is going to be an expensive paint job. According to bornrich.org, its special exterior paint is estimated at AU$200,000. Lets see. 200,00AU to USD is $153,394. $153,395 times 1/25 is $6,135. We want to see every penny of that John. https://www.4wheelsnews.com/sema-show/sema-preview-one-off-cadillac-coupe-de-ville-wild-cad-11059.html
avidinha Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 I'm looking forward to seeing your interpretation of this. I remember reading that they flew a famous painter in from another country just to paint their car.
Belugawrx Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 Good thing I stocked up on cold drinks....and beer nuts
GerN Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 Put the fins on the roof, give it a Ford 2017 GT front end, use a 1963 T Bird rear but with jet exhaust taillights, paint it matte black and call it Bruce's BatCruiser for those wild nights in Gotham.
LDO Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 What makes the paint job worth $153k? Cool car, though. I can't wait to see the model.
GoatGuy Posted March 21, 2018 Posted March 21, 2018 John this looks like another winner for you. Can't wait to see the progress
Psychographic Posted March 21, 2018 Posted March 21, 2018 I would bet they are including all the bodywork into the price of the paintjob.
John Teresi Posted April 4, 2018 Author Posted April 4, 2018 Hello......I got some of the body work done.......I opened up the doors and trunk........I modified the hood and trunk area.......I sanded off the vinyl roof and body emblems ........I added some window trim........and modified the front bumper and rear bumper........thanks for looking
espo Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 That's quite a bit of body work. The grill looks like it will become the main styling feature. I like the smooth sides and the shortened trunk and hood look different.
Psychographic Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Looks great John. Chopping that top with those thin pillars is going to be fun.
misterNNL Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Looking nice thus far. I look forward to watching this one.
