This has been debated here and on other boards to the conclusion that "Oh well, it's good enough." and the never ending " A GOOD modler can fix those minor nuances." I'd wager there's not a '30 Ford on the planet, "custom" or otherwise, that has the firewall and cowl as portrayed on this model. I've done a partial tutorial on correcting it, by the way. Purchasing Revell's assets must make sense. I won't say that this was done because, as has been, heh, speculated, some of the team have warm and fuzzy nostalgic memories of building a model in their youth.
