Got this old MPC some years back. Was lucky to get it reasonable because

someone been very entusiastic about using glue,a real gluebomb. Hood

was glued shut, glass and some other parts where destroyed. Soaked the

entire thing in Purple Power around a week before the 4 layers of paint let go.

Thankfully the scripts where good and also managed to get the tail lights out.

Short sum up. Lucerne Blue,Sandalwood interior,400 engine and 400 auto.

1971 first year the rear spoiler was optional, this one from Missing Link.

The dealer installed vinyl stripes are from Keith Marks. These stripes are

not shown in the original brochure but was avalibale at dealers and you

might seen them back in the day,or on restored cars today. The air cleaner

decals is not factory, but i did add one anyway.

Thanks for looking and hope you like.

Beautiful looking build. I have always liked the Formula Hood better than The Trans Am Hoods. I didn't notice the Stripes in your photos.

I agree 100%,.The Formula hood is really mean looking, and to me,it was Pontiac's best looking hood. And like you said, even better than the TA shaker hood.
