1320wayne Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 I've been kind of all over the map in my building as of late, trying to finish long started projects that have been sitting around for years. The latest completion is a Tamiya Jeep Grand Cherokee that I started on years ago. It has a scratchbuilt suspension lift, American Satco tires, homemade and old Nascar sheet graphics and some small little scratchbuilt add ons like the brush guard and winch mounting plate. The rooftop accessories are from an old Fujimi detail set. The paint is Dupli color Ice White and Dupli color Chrysler Platinum.
89AKurt Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Congrats on finishing a stalled WIP! I have a few of those too. Dig the winch. Is Satco still around? Now you just need to add some mud. I have that bike kit, plan is doing the Klein bicycle ad with the Porsche 911 Turbo on it. Would have to scratch-build a bunch of parts and modify the frame. Wish they p-e the chain and derailure. Did you add the brake cables?
1930fordpickup Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Well done. I like to see these built up for ideas for mine.
espo Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 I like all the extra details, Mountain Bike, Wench, Roof Rack, and the License Plate Frame.
Goose1957 Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 I like it. One of those is on my bucket list to do. You did a nice job on that one. I wish someone would produce other versions of Jeep Cherokees. Jeff
Bucky Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 I have that Jeep in the stash. You did a great job on this one. Looks nice in white!

mrmike Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Looks real good! I just got this kit and was contemplating a grille guard for the front end. You've given me some ideas...

Yes, I added the brake cables along with a rear brake caliper that was not present on the bike. There's one for the front however.

There is a dog in the back seat though, but I didn't focus in any pictures of it for fear someone would complain that I didn't open any windows.
Hmann68 Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 As a Cherokee owner, I think that is awesome! Love everything about it??
Rob Hall Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Sharp build. I have this kit in my stash. I wish some of the newer generations of Grand Cherokees would have been kitted, I’m a big fan and I’ve owned two of them (‘00 and ‘14).
OldTrucker Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 Don't forget the bike is on the roof when you put it in the garage!
Scalper Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 very cool... nice work.. like the wheels the winch .
iamsuperdan Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 That turned out great. Reminds me of my old Jeep XJ Sport.
NYLIBUD Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Great job.I currently have a lifted 2000 XJ.I'am definitely a pure Jeep guy.The winch, and mountain graphics look great.I just wish some company made an XJ Cherokee, considering how popular they are.
