As noted two years ago, it sad to see Carol and Don's business coming to an end. I have most of what I need from them (for now!). But there is still a lot of their stuff I'd still be interested in. But, since I have no real needs. I will not be fight the crowds and be disappointed that what I want, can no longer had. Or is sold out.

Made it in and spent $130! Tried to go back and get some wheels and they were sold out!

Tried again and was able to get some wheels, not the American 200S Daisy mags though.

Wow, THAT was like Walmart on Black Friday morning.

Had a large shopping list. Was scoring quite a bit of the goodies on it, went to check out, there was some kind of glitch between steps 2 and 3. I had to keep going back in and re-entering my information due to some quantity being "out of range." FINALLY got through to Step 3 and checked out. By that time someone else had grabbed most of the good stuff out of my cart. I only ended up with half to a third of what I needed, and didn't get a few things I needed most.

Oh well. A week ago, I had no dream of getting ANY of it, so ya gotta look on the bright side.

Spent $22 total.

1961 Bonneville tail lights and 1958 Buick promo wheel set

I couldn't think of anything else I needed and cant find anywhere else

Went in with a small list, and didn't get any of it. I would put an item in my cart, go for the next item, and my previous item would be listed as Out of Stock. I'm used to being sniped on eBay bids, but not on a website!

I actually had a '67 Barracuda HT kit in my cart, but by the time I was able to get through the checkout glitches, it was gone. Along with a couple '68 Charger grilles I really wanted.

In fact, I ordered two or three of some items, but on my final order, there's not more than one of anything. Oh well.

Thanks again, Don and Carol, for one last shot. B)

Aha! So you’re the one who stole my ‘61 Pontiac stuff which I tried to order!?

I jumped on the site hoping to score a kit, but they were ALL gone in seconds!

I had a pretty good list of parts going, but much of it disappeared as I was trying to get thru the checkout phase.

I’d say that the “Black Friday” description is pretty appropriate. Did anyone else notice the full moon last night, too????

Didn't get anything I wanted.

I kept just refreshing the page until I got tired of doing it and went on the Spotlight site and found that you had to re-enter the page. By then an hour or more had passed.

I did have the chrome for a '62 Lincoln in my checkout but it went while I was searching for a couple more parts I needed.

Must have been because most of my order went out of stock as I was checking out. Just not that fast a shopper - or typist...

But I did manage to get... one set of 13-inch Cragar mags. I'll put 'em on my '69 Corvair. Or maybe my '63 Comet. Or...?

Ive been looking for the Pontiac  tail lights for nearly 2 years. and the 58 Buick I have has those plain generic 58 kit  wheel covers in it

Yep, tried earlier but got that BIGINT thing...   Just got back in and the 3 things I wanted were all OUT OF STOCK.  As has been said above, thanks to Don & Carol for at least giving us all "one last chance".

Now let's see how much more Modelhaus stuff shows up on EBAY by the greedy people who only bought up stuff to sell for outrageous prices...

Oh well looks I'm left still searching for '61 Dodge taillights. Would've been nice if they still had their '56 Dodge kit, too.

Went to check out and got this:

BIGINT UNSIGNED value is out of range in '(`modelhaus_db`.`tbl_product`.`pd_qty` - 1)'

Will try again.

That's what happened to me, except qty 2. I finally went back into my cart and threw out something I'd ordered 2 of, and tried again, and then it went through, except by that time vultures and jackals had picked my cart almost clean.

I see now that my strategy SHOULD have been to get in quick, grab the top 2 or 3 most needed items on my list, then dash to the checkout instead of taking the time (maybe 5-7 minutes) to load up on "nice to have" stuff. I ended up with mainly only "nice to have" stuff. :(

For me, the thing was I had a laundry list of stuff I was looking for, which they had none of. After that, it was all secondary stuff ('65 El Camino stock taillights and bezels, '64 Chevelle hood, Hubley '60 Ford wagon fender ornaments and a '51 Ford conversion kit) that at checkout went *poof* and left me with the mags. I also noticed they have '60 Caddy Fleetwood clear red taillights, but my kit still has its chrome ones (and frankly I'm not sure whether I want to keep it or trade it off anyway). Still need that '65 Olds hood but I guess I'll take a whack at casting it.

ETA: And mega-thanks to Don and Carol for all their efforts - not only did I get a lot of great stuff from them over the last 20-odd years, but they inspired me to learn resin casting - and since then I've made a lot of useful bits for myself and others (mainly vintage wheelcovers).

I placed three orders, as I kept remembering stuff AFTER I placed my first order. Not sure if it was a sound decision as it cost me more in shipping but I did get some items I wanted.

I did email  Don and Carol and told them to combine my three orders and use the extra shipping money for their much deserved vacation fund.

I really didn't have anything left that I needed after they closed, but went out a few min ago and found I could get in...ordered a few random parts--a set of the neat 50s Borrani wire wheels, some sun visors (always can find a use for those on convertibles), and a '63 Chevy radiator..

Do you order parts from the modelhaustires.com site or  the modelhous.com website?  Looking to check on bumpers and grills, etc.  Thanks.
