gui_tarzan Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 Here's my version of the 4x4. I modified the step bumper, wound springs for the front axle and extended the rear brackets, used Scenes Unlimited tires and used blocks in the rear end which I should raise a little more but overall I'm happy with this build. 1
mikemodeler Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 That is very nice, subtle colors but looks period correct. Definitely looks better with the raised suspension!
Brutalform Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 Now that’s the way it should look. I like the touch of diamond plate on the rear bumper. Nice, clean build.
leafsprings Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 (edited) Nice job and color! Very very close match to the factory beige offered in these years. What color beige was used, a factory formula or off the shelf color? Only thing I would do is run some molding on the belt line, something Ford did on tu tones. Old school western type mirrors and step bumpers always look great on these early 70's trucks. Edited October 7, 2018 by leafsprings
gui_tarzan Posted October 7, 2018 Author Posted October 7, 2018 Thanks. I thought about the molding but liked it better this way. It's just Testors flat light aircraft grey and flat white with clear over it.
