Richard Bartrop Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 An old pic I did for a Rod & Custom contest of a track style rod inspired by 60s vintage Indy racers.
Dave Van Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 COOL work! I can see that built with a Ward Indy kit.
Ace-Garageguy Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 (edited) Oh baby...I think I'm in love. Man...damm...seriously...that is FINE. Edited October 10, 2018 by Ace-Garageguy
Phirewriter Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Extremely cool! What media? And on what type of paper?
89AKurt Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 I like it! Nice drawing too. I used to design/draw cars until my teens, but were always side views.
Lunajammer Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 Just saw this. Nice work all around. Great design/proportions and wonderful art technique. What's not to like?
misterNNL Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 The first thing I think of when seeing that windscreen is "XR 6" by AMT.
wisdonm Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 These are pretty darn sweet. It's always been sad that there's no 1/25 Lotus 7 kit.
Richard Bartrop Posted May 21, 2019 Author Posted May 21, 2019 Tamiya made a 1/24 Lotus 7. Most would say that's close enough.
Spex84 Posted May 21, 2019 Posted May 21, 2019 Nice work Richard!! Great design and technique. I'm impressed by the attention paid to the adjustment angle of the mirrors! Was that the contest where the winners would have their entry drawn by a "pro" artist? I seem to recall submitting an entry to a similar contest. Not as well drawn as yours, of course

I know mine was one of the ideas that made it into the magazine, though the artist put his own spin on the idea.
