Snake45 Posted October 21, 2018 Posted October 21, 2018 Different and therefore interesting! Very effective "patina" effects. Model on!
Deuces Posted October 21, 2018 Posted October 21, 2018 Nice! ☺️? I wonder if that camper top fits the '68 El Camino??... ?
Gramps46 Posted October 21, 2018 Posted October 21, 2018 Looks like it has been on more than a few road trips. I like it.

COMPLETELY different roof and rear quarter contours, and it has a longer wheelbase, too. You'd probably be better off just scratchbuilding one--doesn't look like it would be that difficult.
Koellefornia Kid Posted October 21, 2018 Posted October 21, 2018 Love the stance, love the wheels, love the realistic patina! Nice build!

Deuces Posted October 21, 2018 Posted October 21, 2018 I'll give it a try.... I have both of those packed in boxes.... Thanks Snake!!!!..... ??
TooOld Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 That's about what a real El Camino would like with a camper on it , slammed to the ground . Nice work tho' , I like it !

Nice work tho' , I like it ! I actually saw one back in the 70's. It was at a spring shop th a catered to trucks and was there because one of their overload springs had failed on the rear. The camper overhang was longer than that in the kit and there were dolly wheels on the rear that were sprung and stayed in contact with the road surface.
OldTrucker Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 Great weathering! Looks like it sat out behind the barn for a long while!

BigTallDad Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 Very nice job on the weathering. With that stance, about the only place you could go camping would be in a parking lot.
Mr. Metallic Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 Nice patina paintjob. Cool build of a unique subject
carrucha Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 This kit looks good as a slammed beater camper. Good job.
Bucky Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 Great build! Looks like it sat behind the garage due to the fact that the heavy camper finally killed the transmission!! Well done, sir!!
