I am going to cheat a little as the 54 Chevy and the 72 K5 Blazer were done November of 2017.  All of these builds are after over 30 years of just collecting and learning techniques from good folks on forums like this and various video’s etc.  I started with rescuing the 54 Chevy from being a victim of my childhood.  I had to go with the weathered beat up look to hide the glue damage.  All of these builds are for a future diorama, so they all have the “used” look.  They were built as follows:

                Revell  54 Chevy car

                AMT  72 K5 Blazer

AMT  55 Chevy Step Side (Every Which Way But Loose truck)

                Moebius  71 Ford 4x4

                Revell  65 Chevy Impala

I thank everyone for bringing me back into the hobby with very supportive comments and providing answers and solutions whenever requested.  I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season!   BillIMG_0651.thumb.JPG.d71097432eaa07b89d39e2cc94d821ce.JPGIMG_0672.thumb.JPG.053405145b61e104b5e07f169186586a.JPGIMG_0648.thumb.JPG.b62bc3f4bfae7aa4648dbd33b8181b3b.JPGIMG_0657.thumb.JPG.ac60e4342bd97f4d6ee4531e0df14d4b.JPG

Great builds!  Lots of cool little details, you have the eye for this kind of work!  I love the headliner on the '54 Chevy and the broken plastic grill on the Blazer!  I hate when people melt/bend those like they are metal on the 1:1.  I remember gluing pieces back on my father's '71 Belair's grill.

The '55 pickup is one of my favorite kits, so I love to see those done nicely.  I'll bet many people didn't notice the small window with scratch built slider!  And I like the small roadkill marks on the front bumper too!

You had a good year!

Extremely realistic!!!....I love the fact that your antennas are actually proper scale!,  too many builds are ruined by the use of the syringe needles to make power ones.

Just when I thought the '54 would be my favorite, then I see the 55 truck and the 66 Impala. I don't think I've ever seen such realistically subtle weathering as that 66 SS.

Thanks everyone!  Sorry to disappoint you Brian, I don't work in the film industry or anything special, just build for fun.  I unfortunately live out in the boonies and haven't entered any contests or shows as it would be a road trip to any kind of model show...maybe someday!  Thanks for all the kind words!

Nicely done builds Bill..... my favourite is the '65 Chevy Impala, with the white paint work and blue interior..... such a realistic engine in that one.

These are wonderful. In fact the 54 chevy looks like the car that sat in a yard next to a gas station I worked in when I was 15. Love you weathering.

Great work on all of them, love them all. Your weathering is spot on, love how all the vehicles have some degree of weathering but not overdone!
