Straightliner59 Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 Headers on, and it still fits. Always a good thing! Excellent work, JC!
Brutalform Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 Glad to see that bad boy engine fits nicely between the wells!
Speedfreak Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 YOu are the man JC! Your builds are what this forum is all about!
afx Posted March 24, 2019 Author Posted March 24, 2019 Glad you guys are enjoying the build. Engine finished: 1
Brutalform Posted March 24, 2019 Posted March 24, 2019 Looks amazing, JC! It’s coming together nicely. I like your subtle details like the starter housing, and oil filter mount.
Karl LaFong Posted March 24, 2019 Posted March 24, 2019 Great job so far! And the Moebius motor makes the various AMT versions look like something out of a Palmer kit.
afx Posted March 24, 2019 Author Posted March 24, 2019 Thanks Scott, Tom & Daniel. Keith, I agree very impressed with the Moebius SOHC, best I've seen in a kit.

I am going to have to pick up one of those kits. That engine does look great. No more need to cobble together parts from 15 kits to build a decent one!

afx Posted March 25, 2019 Author Posted March 25, 2019 Would be nice if the aftermarket would offer up some intake options. Hillborn and/or a nice high raise manifold

afx Posted March 27, 2019 Author Posted March 27, 2019 (edited) Thanks Bruce. Wasn't crazy about the brown was on the valve covers so I removed it and went with a black was in the ribs only. Edited March 27, 2019 by afx 1

Drilled out the molded screen on the intake trumpets, might leave them open or install real screen later. Dude, that engine looks sweet even when there wasn't any paint on it yet. Rock tha house JC!! This one is going to be a good build for sure. Edited March 27, 2019 by mustang1989
Dann Tier Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Coming along REALLY nicely, bud!!….love your work!!
afx Posted March 31, 2019 Author Posted March 31, 2019 (edited) Thanks Joe I do like the engine. Really enjoy your work too Dann. Separated the bumper and grille, opened the slots in the teardrop. Edited April 1, 2019 by afx 1
afx Posted April 2, 2019 Author Posted April 2, 2019 (edited) Appreciate the comments gentlemen. The front clip should not be visible below the bumper but such are the challenges of getting everything to line up in kit bashing. Since it will be exposed I decided to detail it. MeatMan Posted April 2, 2019 Posted April 2, 2019 Glad to see this taking shape! The stance is awesome!
