Modlbldr Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Great year so far! My second finished project of the year and my first towards the goal of finishing, at least, 3 stalled projects in 2019. I began this one around the middle of 2017, so definitely not my oldest stalled project by far. I had gotten most of the interior done and the basics of the chassis finished. Along with that I had chopped the top and sprayed a base of copper on it before it stalled. Along with my goal for 2019 and Snake's "Bring out your stalled project" thread I figured I needed to finish it. The body is the copper base with Testors metallic red bottle paint thinned and airbrushed for a top coat. I added the engine from the Revell 32 3window and wheels and tires from the parts box. Enough talk, here are the photos. Once the sun returns for a show in the afternoon I'll get some outdoor photos. http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// Later- 1
espo Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Beautiful looking build. You should include an attachment so people who didn't follow your build can see how much you changed the basic kit around.
Modlbldr Posted January 28, 2019 Author Posted January 28, 2019 Good idea espo. A link to the build up. Later-
Belugawrx Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Nice finish Tom ! That clear is DEEP man..Nice save after the bugger scratched it up for you Cheers
Intmd8r Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 “Beautiful” doesn’t seem to give this build justice. The paint looks flawless and the overall product is top quality. This is the look I visioned for my ‘48 Ford. I’m jealous....
TarheelRick Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 Excellent build, smooth paint and really like the way that top-chop flows. Beautiful!!

donb Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 I agree with sll above. Absolutely beautiful. Outstanding work!
Modlbldr Posted January 29, 2019 Author Posted January 29, 2019 (edited) Thanks fellas! Really appreciate it. The top chop is the main reason I pushed to finally finish it. I think it turned out very well for my first chop on a 40's vehicle. Later- Edited January 29, 2019 by Modlbldr
Koellefornia Kid Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 That´s an awesome cruiser, Tom! Really like the chop, reminds me of the Barris-built Matranga Merc.
spencer1984 Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 Great looking Ford, and beautiful color for it!

scalepeter Posted February 14, 2019 Posted February 14, 2019 Great looking custom. Love the colour. The chop looks great too. I have yet to chop the top on one of these, might have to change that i think.
