Some re-pops of good old ESCI stuff, like the Ford Escort, Range Rover and Mercedes 230G.  The 230G came with 2 different rear-end treatments:  side-opening vertically-split "barn doors," like the Rally version Italeri issued a few years ago.  Or the horizontally split tailgate/hatch. Last seen in the Revell "Feuerwehr" fire truck version.

That Land Rover Fire Truck has me curious. Guessing the old ESCI Rover with some new-tooled fire truck parts. Italeri has added new parts to some other old kits in the past few years. Like the 1/24 Toyota BJ-44 with the .50 caliber machine gun, and the 1/35 scale Land Rover that got a new hardtop and both left-hand and right-hand drive dashboards.

So many ESCI re-pops. I love it. LOVE IT!

I've build the G-wagen, would totally get another.

There's at least 8 or 9 kits there I would buy. Range Rover, the 944S2 Cabrio, BMW M1...finally, a company releasing stuff I can get behind!

Is the audi a rebox of the tamiya version? I dont recall italeri or esci doing one

It’s probably Esci’s Audi Quattro kit.

I’m curious about the 1/24 Fiat 500. And I need the Renault 5 Alpine. ?

Thanks, I might have to get a couple of them now to go with the tamiya versions

I'd like to have one of those G-Wagons for less than they've been selling for recently.

I have to think that Fiat is going to be a reboxed Fujimi kit, they're the only ones who ever made a new one that I've ever seen.

Also the Renault 5 Alpine (along with the Abarth Rally & the Escort Rally) are already all released for several months at this point, the MKII Escort is a reissue of the Italeri Reissue just with a Rothmans Livery.

Wondering about that too...Italeri didn’t have that previously, did they? (The Fiat?) A Fujimi share?

Esci did a road and rally version.

Correct: https://www.scalemates.com/search.php?fkSECTION[]=All&q=audi+esci

I'm curious about the Porsche 956. If the image is correct, it will be a "Kurzheck" (short tail), so a non-Le Mans version. Which is very rare on 956 kits as, for instance,  all of the Tamiya kits represent the "Langheck" (long tail, mostly Le Mans) versions. The only 956 Kurzheck kit I know about is the Protar one. Now wouldn't that be something...

Furthermore, I am very surprised about and anxiously awaiting their release of the Lancia LC2 in it fabulous Martini livery...

I wonder if the 1/12 F1 Renault and the 1/24 300SL could be the Heller tooling..

The 300SL Gullwing is probably Italeri's own kit.  Which hasn't been available for a while, and according to Internet Gullwing fans, is the best 1/24-25 kit of that car.  It was first released in the late '80s or early '90s, based off Italeri's 300SL roadster.  The Heller kit dated from about 1979.

I recently got a package deal on 2 of the Heller Gullwing kits on eBay for a good price.  They don't have the space-frame detail of the AMT 1/25 kit, which is OK. I want to build a barn find, and I may drop one of the engines into a hot rod or something.

IMHO, the Tamiya 300sl is the best 1/24 version.  The Italeri was the best version until Tamiya released their own, which is more accurate and detailed.

Not a Tamiya rebox, the old Esci/Revell release.

Cheers for the information guys, seems kinda odd that tamiya and esci did the same rally version

At the time Tamiya's 1/24 kit line was in it's infancy. The Audi Quattro rally kit was only the 36th one ever produced - in 2019 they're up to their 349th. Also Tamiya's kit represents a different car number/drivers (possibly the Rally event itself) than the ESCI one does.

Thanks, somehow I totally forgot about the awesome new-tool Tamiya kit.  Right after I typed that, I was sitting here wondering which Gullwing kit I forgot to mention.  Then I got sidetracked - the power pole outside my house went down in high winds, and this street lost our electrical power for a few hours.  Since my furnace is electrical, I went off to fire up the fireplace.

The rally is different from a street Quattro... much shorter wheelbase. I wish they'd redo the street version instead... it's better looking!

best,

I will take all the Land/Range Rovers and G Wagons I can get.

I agree. There are so many cool off roaders to make.
