THarrison351 Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 Another Corvette for a future display. Franklin Mint 1978 25th Anniversary. It's surprisingly heavy.

She's a beaut! Love the screw detail on the taillights. Still amazes me that these were mass produced at some point. THe factory modelers could out do most of us a hundred times a day.
kilrathy10 Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 That is a really cool looking Corvette...
kilrathy10 Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 Picked this bad boy up off ebay for a song!!!
Gramps46 Posted December 15, 2020 Author Posted December 15, 2020 Thanks to a tip from Snake, I was able to get a Welly Mercedes SLS AMG gullwing. I think it makes a nice companion piece for my 300SLs and I like the white as that was the original Mercedes racing color.
kilrathy10 Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 Got these from the bay, yesterday.... 1/64 scale... Too cool... I bought the trailer, mostly, to scale up to 1/24... Another project for the near future... It came with the orange Prostar, but I liked it better on the Mack...

That is a great setup, and it's even orange! So how does the trailer raise in the front so you can load cars on the lower deck?

It's all a fixed position, with the exception of the rear ramp that extends... I just ran out of cars to load...? They're coming soon, though... Edited December 19, 2020 by kilrathy10
kilrathy10 Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 (edited) Every once in a while, a hunch pays off... Found this at Walmart! Jada is something else with their scaling... If it is 1/24, it would be 8 scale feet wide from mirror to mirror... Here it is with an old 1/25 scale Monogram I built years ago... This car is probably 1/23 scale, as opposed to 1/24... kilrathy10 Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 Got this bad boy, too...1/18 scale Yat Ming...
HomerS Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 Wally World only had one.......(picture plagiarized from eBay)
randyc Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 Dang that Savoy is NICE! If they took the time with wheels like AW or JL does, this would be really first class. I've given up on finding ANYTHING local. And online ordering ends up with a big investment in a $1 car if you don't order a bunch to help with shipping. BUt that really does look nice.

Geno Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 Sadly JADA rarely gets the scaling right. Neat model nonetheless. I also don't understand why they make most of their models look cartoonish. That's not really appealing except to little kids but not to serious collectors, but maybe that's who they shoot for.❓❓

I just couldn't pull the trigger on them... They were just too big... Nice paint schemes, but the wheels were a bit "cartoonish" as you pointed out... Just couldn't do it... Glad I got a chance to look at them up close, though...
THarrison351 Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 I picked this up to go with my Ryan Blaney collection. It's his dad Dave's car from 2003. Ryan Ran a similar tribute paint scheme at Darlington in 2018.

kilrathy10 Posted January 7, 2021 Posted January 7, 2021 (edited) Those ALL look good... It's amazing with Jada... They're either hit or miss with a lot of their models... Oddly, even with their popularity, I only own, maybe two or three of the Fast and Furious series.... They have quite a few, too... To be honest, I really like the Ford F-150 Lightning the most.... That one is pretty good!!!! Edited January 7, 2021 by kilrathy10
