Had this idea for awhile and finally started it . Using the Revell snap tite kit so no engine or chassis detail . Some body mods as you can see and using HRM wheels and tires . Little more putty and sanding needed but should get it painted early next week if not earlier . Color ??

Very cool idea! If I were doing it, I'd section (shorten) the body by about 1/4" or so ahead of the rear wheel openings, and another 1/4" or so behind them. Would make it more of a true sports car.

Sounds like a good idea but not sure I am wiling to put that much work into it. I planned on it being a pretty simple project . :D       Thanks guys !

I found the side pipes would be mounted into the doors so I scribed new door lines along body line an I am filling the other door lines.

Yeah, that will look really cool!  If you drop her down

real low, you could section up the rocker panel.

Very easy mod with a great look!

Beautiful Ray. My suggestion is black with white or gold stripes. Like the Hertz Mustang.

Wayne is on to something, Black n Gold would look awesome

on the build style you have going!  Then maybe a cut down

windshield frame for that road racer vibe!!?!!

Don't want to hi-jack this thread but I saw this car for sale on the Hemmings site...........and it is a T-Bird. It was ordered by Ford in 1963 from the Italians as a styling study.5cc39f0aa80e4_1963FordT-Birdstylingstudy.jpg.5e4b20133fa6f7e0ad2342f4d054b9a3.jpg

This should look GREAT, bud!!!!…..I've always thought that this design needed the 57's fins....

I totally agree, to minimize the "teardrop going into the wind" profile that it has.

Hi!

Interesting work!

These colored and super-shiny plastic tend to "bleed" trought final color, unless you put a barrier-coat of silver or aluminium under your chosen final color. I experienced it on this Bug panel made of snap kit PT Cruiser roof-greenhouse and New Be body (both red plastic ). I had to "red-proof it" for final Tamya's  Racing white to stay white.

Mandatory, or you will get red (and red in the face!) later...

Thank for all the great color suggestions . I was too lazy to go get paint so I used what I had . I found some Ford Ultraviolet Pearl so I used that . Added some stripes and need to clear .
