KJ790 Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Here is my completed rebuild of an old snap kit Kenworth.
DrKerry Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 (edited) Love it, the slight weathering is a nice touch on it!!! Like the contrast of the aluminum front wheel with chrome hub cap on it!! Along with the rust on the exhaust pipe and rear wheels!! Edited June 7, 2019 by DrKerry
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Your builds always look so real! Excellent Build!
Oldmopars Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Very nice. It looks great. The light weathering is spot on.
plastic trucker Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 (edited) Beautiful! I like how you separated and set the fender marker lights further back. Edited June 7, 2019 by plastic trucker
Hermann Kersten Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 I've followed your topic and the end result is beautiful, just like the real one. Great job! In your Topic you mention M&R Wheels, maybe you can provide the whole link, because it is hard to find it. Hermann.
TECHMAN Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Followed your "WIP" on this one..... Turned out FANTASTIC!!!!! Like the others said : the weathering in first class all the way!!!! DJ
Brutalform Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 That’s a VERY realistic looking KW. The subtle weathering you performed on this build is perfect.

SpreadAxle Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 Very nice. Those handles on the battery box, did you make those?
KJ790 Posted July 6, 2019 Author Posted July 6, 2019 Thanks everyone! On 6/8/2019 at 4:12 AM, Hermann Kersten said: I've followed your topic and the end result is beautiful, just like the real one. I really like Doug Wagner's machined aluminum wheels, but I needed 22.5" rims for this build to replicate the real one, so when I saw these ones from M&R at a show went with them. 58 minutes ago, SpreadAxle said: Very nice. Those handles on the battery box, did you make those? Yes, the handles are 3D printed. I originally made them for a different application, but they wound up being used on these battery box covers.
LouO Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 Very nice, and the weathering is spot on. Your photos show it off perfectly too.
