jjsipes Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 (edited) Not sure if I had started a WIP thread on this one or not but, completed today. Tamiya Black and Clear with Testors Nassau Blue interior. Redline tires from AMT parts pack. Kit wheels. Wanted something different than Red or Black interior. Thought I'd try Blue. I really like the look. Edited August 4, 2019 by jjsipes
Bucky Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Nicely done! The blue looks right at home in the black Comet. I tried to buy a new '74 Grand Prix that was black with a blue interior, but the bank didn't want me to!! LOL It also looked great with the blue interior!
Brutalform Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 Wow, Jason, you did this one justice. The colors you chose looks fantastic. Can’t go wrong on those redlines. Also, very clean built indeed. This makes me want to get back to the one I have in my WIP pile.

Wm David Green Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 Great looking Merc. You made a good choice with the interior color and the tires, much nicer than those in the kit .
MeatMan Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 Very well done! It looks like one that sat at a house not far from where I lived as a teen. It never moved and I kept wanting to ask about it. Then one day, it was gone! Thanks for bringing it back.
jjsipes Posted August 5, 2019 Author Posted August 5, 2019 Thanks guys. I'm loving these Moebius kits.
Peter Lombardo Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 Love it ..... just so period correct with red line tires. My brothers friend had one very similar to this (black but with a black interior) back in the day, it brings back the memory..... well done

I spent about a half hour pre fitting the windows on the 65 Plymouth I’m working on. But then again, Moebius has more pros than cons, and that’s a good thing.

The worst one for glass fitment has been the 61 Pontiacs. I built one of the 65 Satellite and didn't have any issue with glass. Working on the Leal Sedan now.
Jim N Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 Great job! Black is a difficult color to lay down and yours looks superb.

Isn't there a problem with the front grill also?
