Jurva Posted August 22, 2019 Posted August 22, 2019 I built this Aoshima/Beemax Volvo 240 as a street car. I changed rims to resin steelies and tyres to road tyres. Scratchbuilt muffler. Passenger seat added. Otherwise, almost straight from the box.
Tommy124 Posted August 22, 2019 Posted August 22, 2019 Not the first of those Volvo's that I see done as a road car. Looks so much better that the rallye stuff in my eyes. Very well done!
espo Posted August 22, 2019 Posted August 22, 2019 I really like how you built this Volvo. The seat belts look perfect. Also the deep offset painted wheels give it a very aggressive look.
FabbricaP Posted August 22, 2019 Posted August 22, 2019 (edited) Nice build! Wheels looks great on this car Edited August 22, 2019 by FabbricaP
Bainford Posted August 22, 2019 Posted August 22, 2019 Now that's a bit different. Nicely done. I'm really digging those wheels.
PatW Posted August 22, 2019 Posted August 22, 2019 (edited) Superb! I've built a couple of the 'estate' cars one as a racer, the original kit and one a mountain bike hauler for the road. I love the 'steel' wheels, where did you get them?! Edited August 22, 2019 by PatW
Jurva Posted August 22, 2019 Author Posted August 22, 2019 Steel wheels are from Ukrainian scale car production items.
NYLIBUD Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019 Man I’ll bet that thing would hug around corners and sharp turns.
dublin boy Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019 Very nice build. those things were seriously fast back in the day.
zakdoggi Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019 Great job and great photos show it off really well.
Atmobil Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 Good looking model, these look much better in "streetlegal" form than as a racer in my eyes
89AKurt Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 Well executed and cool subject! I had considered doing this to the BTCC wagon, but chickened out. Subaru Impreza is another possible civilian conversion. Thanks for sharing, gives inspiration.
