leafsprings Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 (edited) Build was to represent a West Coast mid 60's Pete cabover. A very nice resin cab was located on ebay, then added features typically found on the West Coast in the mid 60's. 5 Hole Alcoa aluminum front wheels with center point front axle, steel Budds on the rear, 250 6 cylinder Cummins and longer frame. Color is metallic maroon. Edited September 14, 2019 by leafsprings
JerseeJerry55 Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 WOW! I really like that a lot. Well done. Bravo.
DrKerry Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Turned out pretty nice!! Like the style and colors on it!
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Very nice!! You have really captured the 70s look! Great work! I would like to find one of these cabs myself!
signguy2108 Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 Good looking old work truck, like the long w/b.
purepmd Posted September 28, 2019 Posted September 28, 2019 This model just shouts '60s workhorse! Love the result, very nice build.
1959scudetto Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 Very nice western rig, Tommy - with a brighter red (without the white accents) it could go for an old PIE truck !
CRUSADER2 Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 Looks great, a proper regular workhorse, a really nice piece of work, love it !!!
leafsprings Posted May 27, 2020 Author Posted May 27, 2020 Thanks for all the positive comments. I plan to change out the modified painted front wheels with real aluminum 5 hole wheels from Keystone and replace the small air horn will with a much larger Kenworth unit.
leafsprings Posted July 11, 2020 Author Posted July 11, 2020 (edited) Added bare metal foil to fuel tanks and air cleaner to keep that old Peterbilt tradition alive, the "touch of class" Edited July 11, 2020 by leafsprings
bigred63 Posted July 11, 2020 Posted July 11, 2020 Wow, what a great looking Pete! I love the longer frame.

Ok, I'm finally calling this one done! Added some Keystone aluminum front wheels along with some Double Take rubber all the way around. Larger air horn and some more bare metal foil added to side vents.
