bbowser Posted November 2, 2019 Posted November 2, 2019 My latest completion. The MPC kit is remarkably good for its age but these cars are pretty spindly. I had issues with the rumble seat so I glued it shut, the hood in particular is supposed to fold like a real one but is very fragile in practice. It shares the running gear with the 1928 Touring. Comments welcome, thanks for looking.
'70 Grande Posted November 2, 2019 Posted November 2, 2019 Stunning build of a classic! Your paintwork and color choices are outstanding! It's a shame more of these classic cars don't get built in model-form... they are such beautiful cars!
donb Posted November 2, 2019 Posted November 2, 2019 Outstanding build Bruce. Love these Classic Cars and you’ve done this one righteous! Perfect colors. Well done Sir!
Richard Bartrop Posted November 2, 2019 Posted November 2, 2019 Those MPC classic kits can be a journey into madness, but they do reward your patience. Great colour choice.
misterNNL Posted November 2, 2019 Posted November 2, 2019 Great build. I'm glad they decided to include some of those cool accessories like the spare mounted rear view mirror and luggage rack. Thanks for sharing.
larman Posted November 2, 2019 Posted November 2, 2019 Very nice build. I like all the old classic kits. It certainly was a high point for style in those days. Love your color choices and attention to detail!
Eric Macleod Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 I agree with the others. You have really captured how these cars are supposed to look when they are built the right way. Your color choices are very era appropriate. Nice model all around.
peekay Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 I really like this. Great period colour scheme and the wheels look so much better painted.

dino246gt Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 Beautiful build of a rarely seen model, great!
Nells250 Posted November 9, 2019 Posted November 9, 2019 Nifty topic! I was just about to offer a detailing suggestion (paint the inside of the convertible top a different shade) when I saw the 1:1 photos... another fact to file in my brain for future use!!!
ChrisBcritter Posted November 11, 2019 Posted November 11, 2019 Remarkable work on that classic, Bruce - thanks for sharing it with us!
