gseeds Posted June 27, 2020 Posted June 27, 2020 (edited) This is a 1966 Chevy impala that I converted into a caprice , just about all my models I build with a 60’s / 70’s style and this car is one , this a curb side model, lots of body work on trunk and top , custom paint and hand pinstriped , hope you like, thanks! I started with a revell 66 impala, and a real crappy resin 67 caprice , cutting the top and trunk for the both and combined the two together, reworking the dip rails and rear window, and little puffy and some primer and that’s it ! 66 caprice! not sure if the photos will show up in order but you get the idea.
Spottedlaurel Posted June 27, 2020 Posted June 27, 2020 Great to see some WIP photos behind one of your fantastic builds. End result looks really good.

BeakDoc Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 Not a low rider guy myself, but I certainly appreciate the skill involved in that conversion. And the seemingly tedious detail in the paint scheme, done to perfection, at 1:25 blows my mind. Well done.

cooltoys1 Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 Gary, Just to let you know, She is alive and well. After a shelf collapse mishap a few years ago, i got he back together, with NO body damage, thank God!! I put a full chassis underneath, with a 396 and although it sits a bit higher, i think she looks really nice, and i love her. Its a true honoe to have one of your paint jobs in my collection. Jay
