Lost another legend. No info on how he passed away, but he was 83. I’m always looking to see if COVID 19 is to blame for the celebrity deaths. In his case, no info is given as of yet.

Report I read said a stroke, age 83.

I wasn't a huge fan of his music, but he was a great patriot and friend of America and I always respected him for that. RIP, CD. You will be missed. :(

Mostly hard rock and heavy metal for me, \\m//, but I enjoy all kinds of great music. Even though I’m not a country fan, some of those performers can put on a heck of a show.

A true legend and American! I enjoyed his music I liked Simple man, long haired country boy, and Wooly Swamp. God bless his family...

At 83 he had a good life. What they pass from at 83 does not make much difference. He put on a great live show from what I have been told more than once. I missed my chance.

Mr. Daniels grew up right in the general area where I live.... he used to sit in front of a local grocery store about 6 or 8 miles from here when he was a young man and play the fiddle....

Met Charlie in about 1987 in Elgin, IL.  A couple of us Vietnam Veteran types ent to present him with an engraved certificate of appreciation. we entered the room after his concert and he asked if we had been to Vietnam.  We said yes and he replied that he didn't have the right to be in the same room as us.  Always appreciated him for that.
