Very sad and worried about my Mother

My mother had her 3rd stroke three weeks ago. She had it on Saturday night told my brother not to call the ambulance and I called them when I found out the next day. By this time she could not talk. She was shipped from the hospital to a rehabilitation facility and back to the hospital for Pneumonia now she is going to a rehab and nursing care.  When I see her I don’t see my mother in her mind as you talk to nor does my oldest brother. My middle brother seems to see things we don’t, and everyone knows for the most part I am very positive. She turned 86 in March and until she was 82 cut her hard since 1984 with a push mower unless I came and cut it with her ridding mower. She was afraid to ride a mower.  She was 49 when my dad died and worked and took care of her grandsons when she wanted. Now I am so sad not to call her every day as I have for 20 years sometimes twice a day. Thursday I think is when I could not see her in her eyes. She is in The Lords hands. I am afraid I am going to lose her..

I'm very sorry you are having to go through this Carl. Its very hard to see someone you care deeply about in such a struggle. At the moment all you and your family can do is be there and support each other through this difficult time. My granny had the same thing happen to her so I sympathise dearly with you

My mother had Altzheimers and we dealt with her decline and eventual death for many years.  I know the angst and emotions, I wish you and your family the very best!

Carl so sorry to hear this. Both my parents have been gone for quite a while. My dad suffered with advanced parkinsons. My mother went quickly when she was diagnosed with muliple myeloma. I miss my parents everyday. I take comfort that they are in a better place.

Me mum would be 87 if she was still here physically . She passed away on 4th October 2005 at 23:45 while I was holding her hand .

Sorry for this pass my friend. My Mums had a stroke 2 years ago and it was so bad she nearly went to the Lord. She cannot speak well and her right side is no longer functioning. So I get where you are.

i call her almost every day and see her once a week since this whole mess happened. I used to go a few times a week but now it's a half hour once a week till further notice.

Every day is a gift bro.

Prayers for your mom and family Carl. Strokes are a terrible thing to happen to a person. My father in law had one over a year ago. Been really tough on the whole family as he refuses to go to a nursing home and he's totally dependant. I hope your mother is able to recover and come back home. She kinda sounds like mine. My mother mowed and weed eated her yard until she was 83. I had to make her stop then.
