What a perfectly balanced truck.  Everything in harmony, no one thing screaming for attention,  as elegant as you could ever make a truck. Beautiful work, Roger, well worth whatever challenges you had to overcome.

Cheers

Alan

Thanx Alan! It's always cool when someone gets what I was trying to accomplish. I think it proves that old and new school can actually compliment one another.

Wow! Roger, that is so nice, you've done a great job there.

I mean this in the best possible way, but when I first read the description without having seen the photos I was expecting it to look much more obviously modified. The finished result is so clean and well thought-out, with a really subtle colour and wheel choice that enhances the super-clean look.

Thanx Nigel! I get what you're saying. The Lightning moniker may have been a bit misleading. But, it's basically just a reskinned second generation Lightning.

Gorgeous truck and beautifully done! The ultimate sleeper!

Thanx Carl! I hadn't really thought of it as a sleeper. But, it certainly qualifies!

Wow Roger, that thing is a beauty. I love it!  Stance... killer,  colour choice... perfect, kit bash execution... flawless. I would love to see a better photo of the seat if you have one, it looks outstanding too.

Cheers, Steve

Thanx Steve! Here's a couple of interior photos.

As mentioned earlier, I made a set of Moon discs to fit these wheels and stuck 'em on with a couple of drops of Elmer's glue. I really like this look! So much so, that I may leave them on it. They totally change the look of it!

Thanks Roger, very nice job. Just the right amount of sheen. As for the wheels, I prefer the steels with hub caps, but they both look great on the truck.
Cheers, Steve

They do look great Roger!

This is probably my favorite build on here for 2020. Looks great!

I have a donor Lightning that I was planning on combining with the AMT F-350 and a Model King repop of the Open Road camper. Figure it needed more power!

Killer build Roger!  Outstanding work on blending those kits together so beautifully.  I have been a big fan of your builds for a long time, but this one might just be my new favorite.

Thanx Steve! I look forward to seeing that! That Open Road Camper will suit the long wheelbase perfect!

Thanx Tony! I'm a fan of your work as well! As much as I like this model, it still doesn't compare to my '62 F-100.
