martinfan5 Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 Yes, now you can have your very own 1:1 model kit of those oh so tasty Cup Of Noodles, if you import it from Japan it will be around $18 US, stateside around $30 ish
peteski Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 Didn't we discuss this model a month or two ago? Deja-vou all over again.
TarheelRick Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 I really like the warning label on the front of the box. Not one of my favorite forms of Ramen, prefer the real stuff from my "not so local" international market.
Daddyfink Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 This needs to go into the Weird Models thread, because this is winning!
Doug 1061 Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 Looks like someone has too much time on their hands. That warning likely means someone tried to eat that.....
Ben Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 I’ve never seen parts trees with different molded colors on one tree?

Yeah, I brought this one up a month or two ago. And I'm still just as confused now as I was then. Why anyone would manufacture this kit, let alone buy one. Ahh well, whatever floats one's boat I guess.

RichCostello Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 Absolutely the stupidest model I've ever seen! Why would anyone waste any amount of money on this?
cobraman Posted November 22, 2020 Posted November 22, 2020 Stupid ? Perhaps but they could, I say could be worth something in the future.
OldNYJim Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 There's definitely an easier and cheaper way to get some realistic looking noodles on your display shelf, especially given this is the same scale as a 49 cent pot of the real ones
misterNNL Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 Definitely something wrong when a model company will waste dollars producing blah-blah-blah like this when there are model builders out there with real wants that are going un-headed. What a waste of plastic!
Madhatter Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 Well, this kit is aimed at the Japanese market and you only have to look at some of the other odd ball kit subjects they have over there to see why this isn't considered an absurdity. What cracks me up me about this kit is that Bandai included stickers for the prawns - not decals which in my mind would be easier to conform over the surface You could make it a horror version: paint the noodles in modulated pink and add clear goop between spaces to make it look like a slimey pot of worms. Thrown in some bloodied dolls eyes and voila, you have created the grossest pot noodles ever

They probably figured that those model builders would find stickers easier to deal with than waterslide decals.
