I've had that with my Springers, they seam to rub off on each other. My Mom's first dog was a Cocker Spanial and she says that that dog and her our family's first dog had the same bark, they both even sang the same jingle in their bark when they wanted attention.

I'll bet they're hoping she's going to drop a slice or two. Our Lab used to sit on my wife's feet when she would start fixing a meal for that reason.

That's where Emmett is any time I'm eating something............ You kind of have to give them a little something, so they don't feel left out!

I just got this new harness for Louie. It's better than the old one which went on from above with two Velcro straps, it would rotate to the side all the time. Plus this one holds him more from the chest. He's only 8 lbs, XXsmall size harness.

This is Willow. We rescued her from a shelter she had been in over 2 months. The sweetest dog we've ever had. She's 3 years old.

  Hi Guys, I thought I'd share that Diesel earned his Master gamblers title a while ago but it took a while for me to post it. Here is a pic of him with his title when it came in the mail. I am really proud of our boy.  He is amazing and very responsive on the course. He really loves the game.

Today we are dog-sitting a neighbours 13 year old chocolate lab named Lucy. She doesn’t see well and is scared of hard flooring. She fretted when her owner left for a while. Then paced around panting, but her tail never stopped wagging. After an hour she settled down nicely. She knows my wife well as “the cookie lady”.

This is my 1 year old cocer spaniel puppy Ringo, he's helping drive the new lawn mower on to the trailer.

Hi folks, 

We had to say goodbye to our beloved little dog Otis on Monday. He was an amazing companion for 14 years. He spent week days at work with my wife at her seniors facilities. He was enjoyed by staff and residents, he loved people, and we liked to joke he was a “dog with a job”. So many great memories over the years. He loved rainy winter days when he and I would hunker down in the hobby room. He “helped” me with about 25 (or more) of my builds. His calm energy was always present. I miss him dearly, especially the greeting when entering the house. He passed peacefully at our house, in his favourite spot, and had some tenderloin steak for his last meal. 
RIP little buddy, we miss you.

Well, guys, I've had Emmett for a year today! I bought us a New York strip to split this evening........ I know everyone says they have a good dog ( and they are all good! ), but he's 'good' on another level! I think it may be the Pyrenees in him, they have different instincts than most other dogs. I just wish we could meet more people than we have so far, as I worry I may be the only person he ever knows.........

 Steve, sorry to hear of Otis' passing. They never are with us long enough. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Little over two years ago, I adopted Riley (formerly Shasta) from a local animal shelter.  Clearly she was abused mentally and physically and struggles to overcome her past. She is reluctant to go out the door on a leash as she still thinks she i headed back to the shelter.  She gets so worked up, she's hurled in my car going to the groomer.  I told the wife lets try something new......she drive my car (God help me!) and I will ride in the back with her like my son and I did when we first adopted her.  First half of the trip there, she just stared out the window not knowing her fate.  Suddenly she turned around and put her head into my chest.....followed by one paw and then the other.  You could fell the fear going through her.  All my dogs LOVE my groomer and when she walked in, and marked the walk off mat at the front counter, she saw Jane and started to relax. Couple hours later, I picked her up and she rode home shotgun, but stared out the window with a "we're still not talking" attitude.  

She got over her attitude when it came dinner time.  One of her predecessors Jamie (also an Aussie) would be have an "I'm beautiful and I know it" attitude every time she came home.  I miss my little deva!

Steve, I am so sorry for the loss of your friend and buddy.  May you be blessed with another pet that needs a home.  They seem like children when we have them for a long time. I am sorry and it bothers me when pets leave from good people.  Take care my friend..
