Let's see if I can keep my motivation up on this one. I've never done this level of scratchbuilding.  Started with a Dodge Little Red Express kit. Lost the decals long ago, and don't really care for the stepside bed. Got a Styleside/smoothside bed from Trailer Trash Customs. Decided I was going to try my hand at building a frame, as I want this truck to be laid out. Here's where I am so far. Thinking a V10 from the Revell Sidewinder kit.

YES SIR!!, This is looking great so far Shawn. I like the wheels in the first photo, however, I’m partial as they are on my current build. Either will look good. Absolutely love the low stance. Look forward to seeing this progress.

Cheers, Steve

Nice looking frame! What size styrene did you use? Should be a killer build.

I believe it is 1/8" x 1/4" rectangular stock. It might be a little bulky, but I'm gonna run with it.

Nice project Shawn!  I went the same way as you with a fully scratch built frame on my '64 D100 and I see that you are on the right track, the stance is superb.  Mine is not that close to the ground because it is a Pro Street type truck but I would probably have tried to lower it very close to the ground if I had wanted to make it a "new trend" truck like yours.  Keep doing the good work! ?

Not much progress lately. Work keeping me busy. Got the bed floor permanently in place, need to fill the gaps between wheelers and besides. Also got some bed supports fabbed up.

Made some actual mount points for the bed, cab is next. Found these wheels in my parts stash, I believe from a Jada toys S10 I once had. Narrowed the fronts, and I think I'll stick with these.

Not much to update, as work has kept me stupid busy lately. But got some parts from Trailer Trash Kustomz again, gives an idea of where I'm going with this. 3D printed air suspension, and resin 6.1 Hemi instead of the V10.

After some builders block, the D100 is back on the bench. Having been a fan of airbagged vehicles forever,I finally have an airbagged truck! ??? needs a bit more fitting, but progress.

That is looking so kewl.  Love the wheels & tires and the stance.  Like you I have never scratch built at this level but I have a 60 Ranchero and a 66 Nova tubbed rear end I like to mate together for a pro street.

Some progress today. Chassis finally getting something resembling a suspension under it. Stance and final ride height mocked up as well.

Pulling this one back off the shelf. I had never been happy with how the frame was coming out so it got shelved. I was cleaning out some spare parts, and found this Revell Dodge Sidewinder frame stashed in there, and the wheelbase is dang near perfect. So I think I'm going to try my hand at it again, modifying this frame instead.
