cobraman Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 I found a photo on the net of a Cobra I liked . I decided to build one taking some cues from that car but not trying to make a replica of it . I made all 4 flairs using sheet plastic and then molding . Wheels and tires from the parts box . Model Car Garage billet rear wing . Sheet plastic front spoiler . Roll bar from the parts box . Paint is Short Cuts flat black . Good paint for parts but am not happy with using it for an entire body . Flat red was used on the interior .
vamach1 Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 The purists may not like it but I could totally see someone with a kit car that looks like that. Nice job.
cobraman Posted March 9, 2021 Author Posted March 9, 2021 Thanks guys. I would never do anything like this to a "real" Cobra but it's a 20 dollar kit so ? Plus I have as most of you know over 750 Cobra's in my collection and I need a few that are different from the crowd. ?
lucky 130 Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 As usual, fine work on a snake. I really like seeing what you come up on a Cobra. Build on my friend.
cobraman Posted March 11, 2021 Author Posted March 11, 2021 Thank you Michael. Some don't care for the customized Cobras but that's ok . To each his own. ?
Venom Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Cool! ...I like those wheels much more than the gold spoked ones.. the deep dish is appropriate for Cobras. Those look like real metal.
skymnky721 Posted March 14, 2021 Posted March 14, 2021 That looks mean,,and ready for the track! Nice look
Dann Tier Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 Another BEASTY...unique Cobra!!!....well done, Bud!!!!
doorsovdoon Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 That's a pretty mean looking Cobra! Nice work.
